my new beginning

chapter 1

I just moved to Los Angeles, California with my family for my stepdads job. so, I didn't know anyone yet.

today was my first day of my junior year and I walked into my first period -algebra 2- and sat in a random desk. soon enough the classroom was filling up. I just sat on Twitter until a girl walked up to me. she was blonde and super skinny.

"hi. I'm keali. what's your name?"

I replied," hi I'm paisley."

"you're new here aren't you? well welcome to brotley high."

"thanks!" by now, I could tell that she was going to be my best friend here.

shortly after, two boys walk in and keali runs into one of their arms. he kinda looked like Harry styles... the other one just stood there awkwardly. he was actually pretty attractive.

keali then walk up to me with both the boys and said,"paisley, this is Danny and Paul."

Paul. I like it.

"hi I'm paisley." and then I realized I was only staring at Paul. keali and Danny started laughing then took a seat by me when the bell rang.

after first period, I got all three of their numbers and learned that Danny and keali were dating but Paul was single.

by the end of the day, I found out I have two classes with Danny and keali and three with Paul.

I got home and of course my mom was like," did you make any friends? we're the other kids nice?" and all that other stuff. I told her about keali Danny and Paul but didn't tell her I liked Paul.

I went to my room and I had three texts. one from Caroline, my best friend in Alabama, one from keali and one from Paul.

Caroline asked about my first day, keali asked about hanging out an Paul said 'hey'. I decided to text Paul back first bc the other two could wait.

me: hey

Paul: what's up?

me: just got home. starting hw. wbu?

Paul: nm. bored af. wanna hang?

omfg

me: sure. lemme ask my mom.

Paul: okay.

me: she said yes. where do you live?

I got his address and I texted Keali saying I was busy and on he walk over I texted Caroline back.

I got to Paul's house and he answered the door. He looked pretty excited to see me. I walked and then a little boy comes running in and blurts out,"Paul?! Is this your girlfriend?! You're really pretty!"

both me and Paul were blushing.

"um... no she's not Dominic."Paul then bent down and loudly whispered,"and I know she is." that made me blush even more.

we went up to his room and we sat on his bed. Paul was the first to break the silence.

"so Paisley, where did you move from?"

"I moved from a small town outside of Birmingham."

"oh that's cool. Do you have any siblings?"

"I have an older sister in college and a little brother in fourth grade. What about you? Is Dominic your little brother?"

"no. He's my nephew. I have an older sister."

"oh okay. So... how do you know Danny and Keali?"

"Danny and I have been friends since second grade and Keeley is his girlfriend so we all became friends. But I have to warn you, if you ever hang out with them, you'll probably be third wheeling."

"ha ha. That's nice to know."

it was quiet for a couple seconds until Paul broke the silence.

"want to watch a movie?"

"sure."
