Chapter 3: Gone

"Phoenix help me" I hear my mother scream, as I see Vaska beating her to death
"Mom No!!!!" I cry out
I try to find her, I run too save her
But it's too late...
I wake up screaming
"Phoenix are you ok" Tanner asks as he lays next to me on our warm bed
"Ya, it was just another nightmare, the same one, with my mom..."
"Your safe now Phoenix, Vaska can't hurt you anymore" Tanner says while holding me in his arms, comforting me
I know Vaska's gone, but I still don't feel safe. At all.

It has been a month since me and Tanner bought our home, I want to say things are great and we are having a happily ever after but that would be a lie, things are far from perfect.
I am haunted by everything that I have experienced. I killed my own father, and even though he has done such awful things, I killed him... I took a life from someone else, I don't know how I'm gonna live with that
I miss my mom too, I lost her so young, but those couple of minutes we had together, meant so much to me, and I want her to be with me as I grow older, but I know she can't
When I wake up I hold a photograph of my mom, she's so beautiful... Tanner says she looks like me, I hope he's right.
When I got all my memories back, Instead of feeling joy, I just felt.. Sadness. I think about All of the things my mom and I missed out on together.
Today Charles is throwing a party for the new government, but partying is the last thing I want to do right now, and I don't know if I can. Why should we be partying after everyone that has died?
I decide to drive to my mothers house, maybe pick something out to wear from hers, to feel closer to her.
When I make it to her house I go to her bedroom closet, and find a beautiful blue and black dress, I know this is the one for me to wear. I then look in her drawer, and while digging my hand around I find a book of hers.
It's filled with Pictures of her and my dad, smiling and laughing. I don't recognize lord Vaska in these photos, all I see is my father, Andrew who I love.
At the back of the book I see a disk. I hook it up to the tv. it's a video of my mom
"Hello Phoenix, She says
"I have decided that I am going to make some videos for you for when you grow older so you may be able to use these for help when you experience problems"
She smiles "We can watch them together"
This is all too much for me to handle, I start to cry as I slowly collapse to the ground...

I wake up laying down in a bed in a hospital room with Tanner by my side
"Tanner, what are you doing here?"
"You fainted at your mom's house" he says
"We were worried after we found you unconscious, but it turns out it was for a good reason."
"What do you mean for a good reason" I ask
Tanner pauses for a second
"Well Phoenix... You collapsed because, your pregnant..."
"Are you being serious" I ask
Tanner looks me in the eyes and nods
It's true
I'm pregnant...
