Many months before
Farrah? I heard a familiar voice ask calling for me. Yes? I ask turning my head to see my brother and Bella. There's something we need to ask you. Whatever it is, you know my answer will be yes. I'd do anything for you. Well, that's great because we need you to do some things for us. What kind of things. The wedding is going to be on the 13th of August. Yes, and?
That's like 3 months away right before another school year would start. What would y'all like from me? We need you and Alice to plan the whole thing, you're the only two of all of us with vision. Sure thing, you know I wish we'd had more time to plan this though. I know, but that's the great thing about vampires. Yeah except we don't have all the time in the world to plan this wedding.
We have 3 months, or excuse me I have 3 months. I know, I know. Does it have to be this August? Do you want another year before you get turned? *sigh* no. I guess not. Now don't kill me, but we'd also like you to sing at our wedding, and give a speech. Isn't that kind of the bridesmaid's job, and you know the important people? There's more.
There's more? In addition to everything you're already doing, planning it, singing at it, giving a speech, which you're not wrong on that part, but other than the fact that you are important to us all, at the top of everyone's list.... Would you please, be our maid of honor? I was speechless.
Farrah? My eyes clouded with tears. I ran up to him, and threw my arms around him. I'd be honored. He hugged me back, and when I moved away I hugged Bella also. This is gonna be so great. Great, now one more thing we need you to do, and the hardest part of this. Get Jacob to show up, and not want to kill any of us.
I frowned. I'm a sister not a miracle worker. I said turning away and sitting back down in my window seat, starring out the window, into the night sky. Farrah please? Jacob means a lot to us both, you know that, he's your friend and mine. Bella told me placing a hand on my shoulder.
I know he does, and I know I can usually get him to do whatever I want.... Within reason of course, but I won't make any promises. Alice and I will send the invites out tonight, and 3 months from now we'll see if he shows up, and in the meantime, I'll do what I can to try and convince him to be there. I will TRY. That's all we're asking of you.
I'd spent a lot of time catching up with Jack, and hanging out with the pack as much as I could. Trying to convince Jake to come, and that if not for them then for me. But, he always changed the topic. The closer and closer the date got to the wedding, everyone that we'd invited got the invite, some were happier than others, others were.... Questionable.
I had so much going on my mind, I couldn't keep everything straight, I was glad Alice was doing most of the planning part. But, it was still a lot of fun. I had no idea what I was gonna sing, or what I was gonna say, and there were still a bunch of planning things to get done.
Then it was two weeks before the wedding. Wow, time goes by real fast doesn't it? I heard a familiar voice say, as they sat down beside me, and wrapped their arms around me. I was in the living room at the piano. I'd fallen asleep there. Everyone was so busy with wedding stuff, that even though I didn't need to sleep a lot, vs at all I was exhausted and defiantly needed sleep.
Snowflake? *Ug* I groaned. I soon felt cold hands rubbing my back, massaging my shoulders. Please go away Jack. I yawned. I got you something, you're gonna want it. I sniffed around. Where did you get that? I stopped at Cora's like an hour or so ago. You were fast asleep.
Drink this, you need it. Have I told you how much I love you today? Everyday. He says kissing my head. And I love you too. I need to get back to work. I need my own dress for this thing, and the shoes to go with it. I don't care if everyone else will be in black or white, I'm wearing blue. I'm doing everything, they can at least let me where what color dress I want.
Alice has the dress and shoes for Bella to try on, at least 3 days before the wedding or whatever. At least the shoes, which she's gonna have to break in. You will have to do that too. If your sister is suffering so will you. Jackson, I'm helping Alice plan the whole thing, I'm the maid of honor, I'm singing at it and giving a speech at the thing, everyone wants something from me, I'm not spending 3 days in heels I'm only gonna wear for one day, for only the first couple of hours.
After I snap at him he backs away slowly. I'm sorry I snapped at you, but you're driving me crazy. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the meadow. Don't you dare come after me. Not you, not Jake, not Bella, and especially not Edward. I need to be alone for a couple of hours. Time I don't have, but I need it if the wedding is going to be a success.
Take your time. I rolled my skateboard onto the floor, strapped my helmet on, cause G-D forbid I don't wear it, and I went out. I skated until I was sure I wouldn't be seen. Then transformed into my wolf form. As I picked up the skateboard with my teeth and ran as fast as I could the rest of the way to the meadow.
I stayed there undisturbed for hours. Until it got late. About a week went by, and we're almost done preparing for the wedding. Everyone everywhere has the invites in their hands. Jake is furious and takes off running out into the rain to blow off some steam, as he transforms leading into the forest. His dad comes to call out to him, and picks up the invite from the ground.
Charlie is at home sitting hand on his head, reading it over in the house, and in FL mom smiles down at it, as if almost thinking finally. And calls to Phil that it's happening. It is the day before the wedding, all the family aside from Edward are helping us put the whole thing together. Bella is still stumbling in her heels, and Alice tells her to keep breaking them in. She complains that she's been doing that for 3 days.
She turns to me and asks me if she can just go barefoot. If it were up to me, I'd say yes, but.... But it's not and you can't. Alice tells her. Sorry Bells, I said placing a hand on her shoulder. Farrah? Yeah? Any word from Jake? No, I'm sorry Bella. I did what I could. I just don't think he's going to. We'll see if he shows up.
She *sighs* and takes her heels off, switching back to her sneakers, Edward is up on the balcony watching everything go on below. Now, go back to the house, your house and get some sleep, we all have a big day tomorrow. I'll swing by later tonight and check up on you. You don't have to do that. Trust me, you're gonna need me.
Later that night Bella is n her room. She touches the dreamcatcher Jake got her. I knock on the door, and Edward comes in through the window. Well you came to the door, so I assume that means dad knows your hear, and like usual you came from the window, so.... Just came by to make sure you aren't getting cold feet.
Nope, mine are super toasty, she teases. Are you getting cold feet? She asks him. His feet are always cold. No, its not that I've waited a century to marry you miss Swan. But.... But, there's still one more thing you don't know about me. Like what? When I was first turned by Carlisle, I rebelled against him.... I looked up suddenly interested. This was a story I hadn't heard.
That I wanted to know what it was like to hunt, I wanted to know what it was like to taste human blood.
