I woke up one morning and looked at myself in the mirror. I ruffled my hair and yawned. It was Saturday, and my boyfriend and I were going to the club.

"Alright Joey, you've got this." I talked to myself in the mirror. "He'll have a good time, all of your other boyfriends have! And, it's just a date, we've been going out for three months, there's no way you could screw this up! Plus, it's been a while."

I sighed. That was one of the worst pep-talks I'd ever given myself. Oh well, it'll have to do.

After I had gotten ready for the club, I heard a doorbell ring. My heart fluttered and I ran to the door. I swung it open and he was there. Andy. His muscular body was perfectly shown in his tanktop. His dark hair was flipped over to one side and I wanted nothing more than to rub my fingers through it, but I didn't.

"Hello Joey." he said in his deep voice, and my heart jumped.

He leaned in and kisses me. It was a quick one, but it was enough to make me laugh. We went in his car and drove to the club.

In the car he turned to look at me. "You've grown. How tall are you?"

"I'm getting to be five-ten..."

"Aw babe, are you nervous?"

I felt myself blush and I looked down, but suddenly Andy leaned over and kissed me. "Don't worry, nothing could ruin this night as long as I'm with you."

I kiss him back, becoming more confident in myself. "I won't leave your side." I said, and I meant it.

We walked up to the bar, hand in hand. "Hey Toni!"

"Hey Joey! The usual?" He paused and looked over at Andy. "For two?"

I blushed and Toni let out a squeal and started making out drinks. Andy was staring daggers as Toni left.

"What's wrong?" I asked him. He said nothing, but held me close. "Are you okay?"

Without taking his eyes off of my flamboyant friend, he said "I don't like the was he was looking at you. He kept a looking at your muscles."

I looked up at Andy. "No, it's just we both went on this workout plan and his didn't work as well as mine. Don't worry, I don't love anyone else but you, he's just a friend." I grabbed his chin and kissed his cheek.

Two drunk women saw us (I'm assuming they were a couple), and they slurred something and then made out with each other. Soon, almost everyone had given their partner at least a shy kiss. Andy took the chance and kissed me passionately. He brushed back my hair and I melted into his arms. Before I knew it though, his lips slowly drew away and parted with mine. I was breathing heavily, I had been so shocked by the kiss that I forgot to breathe. The drunk lesbian couple behind us started to clap.

Andy took a bow and I thanked them. Our drinks came and we went to dance. Everything was wonderful, and we were having a wonderful time. But soon enough, I saw them. The Assholes. You know, the idiots that walk into a gay bar looking to pick up women. They're obviously heterosexual and are complete douchebags. They come in flocks, and your bound to encounter at least one group each time you go clubbing.

I watch one who fits the Jersey stereotype perfectly. He slowly looks around and finds a girl. He smirks and walks over. I tap Andy, not looking away from the Asshole.

"That's one of the Assholes I was telling you about."

"How can you tell?"

I pointed, and he had already started to play with the poor girl's hair. Andy shook his head and sighed. I had a plan, and told him. Soon, he reluctantly agreed because I told him it would definitely make at least that group of Assholes leave.
