It has been two days, since my last conversation with Elsa. And her words kept on invading my mind at random.

I needed a distraction, before I loose my sanity. So I and some pack members decided to go to one of my clubs, not too far from my mansion.

“Alpha Dezmond!” Jake my beta, calling me away from the dance floor and over to the bar.

“What is it?” I asked as I lean my back on the table edge of the bar.

“I and the guys have a challenge for you. Do you see the girl with long tight curls falling of her shoulders? The girl with slightly dark bronze skin.” Jake asked, shouting over the loud music as he points her out.

“What about her?” I asked as I got a little curious.

“She has rejected every guy that dears to approach her. Money and looks fails at seducing her! So someone placed a bet on you.” He laughed as he turned around to the bartender,  and ordered us some vodka shots.

One single look at her, and I was Immediately drawn to her. I was smitten by her striking resemblance, with the girl in my dreams.

I slowly examined her, working my way down from head to toe. I never understood my madness, but I wanted to inhale the sweetness of her dark brown hair, and ruin her lipstick with my lips.

I find it a little bit odd, but her brown eyes dose her no justice, even if it looks good.

Her body language tells me, she did not want be here. she has been focused on her phone for the past 20 minutes, and made no effort with anyone.

Whilst looking at her phone, she picked up the cocktail stick with the olives from her martini, and slowly puts it inside her mouth.

I do not think she was aware of her actions, but she done it in the most seductive way. I even felt a little tingle in my pants and let out a faint growl.

But regardless of how beautiful she was, I had to retreat from the bet. I was afraid she had too much resemblance to the girl in my dreams and therefor wanted to avoid her in total.

“I am not in the mood for any games, so you can tell them the bet is off.”

“But Alpha, we placed a bet already and we are men of our words.” Jake said, trying to persuade me into changing my mind.

“Who did you place a bet with? and how much?” I asked Jake. I watched his face of excitement, turn into a worry expression.

Mathew Jackson and to clear his entire family debt.” Jake replied, but when he saw the murderous look on my face, he tried to justify himself. “I did not want to accept the bet, but he said you were not man enough and in my anger, I foolishly shook his hands”

There was something fishy about the whole thing. For starters, Mathew knew who I was and yet; was too confident in me not being successful with the bet.

I gently rubbed my lips, and tried to put the puzzle together.

why would she come to a night club, but remain at the bar. She watched her phone all night, and only ordered one cocktail. She did not even get up once, to dance.

I came to a sudden realisation, that it was a setup. She was paid to reject me. I was angry with Mathew for trying to trick me and pissed at Jake for falling for it.

But like Jake said, we always kept to our words and besides I plan to own half of Mathew’s business. I am suppose to use his debt to me, as a trade for it.

I took down three vodka shots and told Jake the bet was on. For the first time I felt stuck talking to a girl, because I knew no matter what I was going to say to this girl, she was already programed to say no.
