Ch.5 Bitten

Gyeong-su sat there grumbling angrily.

She hadn't apologised at all. She just called him more names.

Ms Park seemed pissed.

I sat next to Gyeong-su as a few of the other tried to comfort him.

My eyes flickered down to his cut and noticed the smeared blood.

I looked back at the mop again and then noticed Nam-ra watching me.

She nodded, confirming my suspicions.

I felt panicked but I needed to stay calm.... For Gyeong-su's sake.

This time... no one will die.

"You're all so annoying. What if I'm right about this?" Na-yeon stated.

Is this what she wanted? To be right?

"Why are you acting like this?" Cheong-san frowned.

"Guess I was right after all." Na-yeon smirked.

I turned to look at Gyeong-su and noticed the nosebleed.

"What?" Gyeong-su asked, not noticing his nose was bleeding.

He brought his hand up for his nose and wiped the blood.

Gyeong-su looked down as his hands began trembling and tears built up in his eyes.

"I told your didn't I? You still think I'm wrong?" Na-yeon spoke.

Gyeong-su shakily stood up, "Something's wrong. What's happening?"

"Oh, shit." Cheong-san mumbled.

Na-yeon started screaming.

Gyeong-su stepped forward but everyone took a step back and told him to stay away.

I saw the look of hurt on his face when everyone looked at him in fear.

I stood beside him and grabbed his arm.

He turned to look at me with teary eyes, "I'll leave... I'll leave myself."

Cheong-san tried to step towards him but Gyeong-su stumbled past his towards the door.

I was frozen for a few seconds before I quickly followed him.

Everyone else backed away as he came close.

He fumbled and tried to open the door but he couldn't.

He turned to look at us with teary eyes and then collapsed with his back against the door.

I crouched down in front of him as he looked up at me with fear evident on his face.

Na-yeon was still screaming.

"Everyone, shut the fuck up!" I yelled.

A silence fell over everyone as they stared at me in shock.

Only the sounds of Gyeong-su's whimpers could be heard.

I reached out cautiously and grabbed onto his arms, almost sighing in relief when he didn't flinch.

"Calm down, okay? I'm here. I won't let anything hurt you. You trust me, right?" I spoke quietly to him.

He nodded slowly and clung to my arms.

"That's right. There's no reason to be scared just calm down. I'm here and I'm not leaving your side. You're not going to turn." I leant closer and ran my fingers through his silky black hair in a soothing manner.
