Santana's POV
I spend the rest of the week chasing Brittany, trying to talk to her about the wedding. It's only 4 months away, which really isn't that far. But whenever I start to talk about it, she finds a reason to disappear. It's starting to get irritating. If she didn't want to get married, she could just tell me.There's been this whole drama with Kitty and Marley. When Marley showed up a few days ago and asked to speak to Kitty, we thought that she was going home. Instead, it ended with a screaming match and Marley storming out. Kitty barricaded herself in the spare room, and has only left for the bathroom or to get food.
So it's looking like Kitty will be staying with us for a little longer than anticipated.
Today marks one week since the shootout. The scars on my leg are starting to heal, the stitches fading.
Brittany runs into the bedroom, looking for something. She opens and closes drawers, all the while muttering under her breath.
S-"Britts, you good?"
B-"No? Yes?I, uhm, I can't find my gun."
S-"Shit. Where did you last have it?"
B-"I don't know. I can't remember. It's not-I can't think. Fuck, where is it?!"
S-"Okay. It's okay. Calm down."
B-"I need it. I'm meant to be going out in a few minutes, I need my gun."She runs a hand through her hair, tugging slightly on the strands. I stand up and turn off the tv.
S-"Right. I'll search the bedroom and your office. You search in the kitchen and the den."
B-"Okay. Thanks."She runs downstairs, pulling the door shut behind her. I get off the bed and start to search, but there's no sign of it.
Brittany opens the door again, now with her gun safely strapped around her waist.
B-"Quinn had it by mistake. I'm all good now. Bye."
S-"Aren't you forgetting something?"Brittany frowns, and starts to check her pockets and outfit. I wait a few seconds, and her eyes light up.
B-"Oh. Right."
S-"Yeah."
B-"You're cute. Come here."She pulls me closer to her, and kisses me. I can taste the strawberry lipgloss she just applied. Her lips press on mine softly, and she tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. I want it to last forever.
But she pulls away, a blush working it's way across the tops of her cheeks.
B-"I should go. Quinn will be mad."
S-"I'll miss you."
B-"I'll miss you too. But I'll only be away for a few hours, then I'll come back and we can watch one of those awful movies you love."
S-"Mhm."
B-"I know it's been a week, San. It's okay. If anything, we'll be even more on guard."I look up into those blue eyes, which begged me to trust her. So I do.
S-"Okay. But if anything happens, I love you."
B-"I love you too."She squeezes my hands once more, then walks out.
It feels so wrong. What if something happens to her while she's out? No. It's fine. She'll be fine. Her and Quinn know what they're doing.
But my mind keeps jumping back to the 'what if?'.
So I go downstairs to annoy Kurt, and help him clear out his wardrobe. Fun.
~~~Okay, maybe it's not as boring as I thought it would be. He has some pretty nice jumpers-apart from this piece of crap that is literally half a jumper. He said it was from high school, but still. It's awful.
S-"Did you and Blaine argue much when you were planning your wedding?"
Kurt stops what he's doing, and turns to face me. I keep my face clear of all emotions.
K-"I don't think so. If I remember correctly, we basically agreed on everything, and he was possibly more excited than I was."
S-"Oh."And that's all I need to say, because he suddenly looks very concerned.
