Chapter 5

Hanna was bawling. Her grandma had passed away."When is the funeral?" Hanna asked grief in her voice."Two days from now, so Friday."Hanna thought about how she was supposed to go to the football game with Katie on Friday, but she was positive Katie would have to just understand how important this is.

"I'll buy a plane ticket to Denver as soon as possible."Hanna said quickly.

"No."Her mom replied,"it's expensive and you need to keep up your studies in college."

"What???"she said shocked.

"You heard me, now I gotta go to your grandpas, I love you bye."Her mom said calmly.

"Bye."

Hanna cried and cried for an hour and a half until she thought she had no more tears left.

She was feeling really crappy, so she invited Cameron over to comfort her. Before he came she put on her game face, and put on fresh makeup. Hanna promised herself she wouldn't cry in front of Cameron.

When Cam got there Hanna flung the door open and launched herself into Cameron's arms."Cam!"She screamed excitedly forgetting how sad she was for a few seconds."Hanna!"He screamed mocking her. She stuck her tongue out at him, and he kissed her on the forehead.

He brought her inside and gently set her down on the couch. Suddenly they were back to reality, and she was sad about her grandma again, and she was fighting back tears. Of course Cam already knew about their loss in the family through text, and he became concerned about Hanna when he saw her eyes shining with tears.

"Hey don't cry, if you cry I'll cry, and I'm an ugly cryer."he said quietly.This made her giggle.He desperately tried to come up with something to distract her from her loss.

"Why don't we watch a movie?Cam suggested. "Ok." she said feeling better already. Then her eyes lit up. "I wanna watch a scary movie, and I want you to make me popcorn."Hanna said excitedly. "I'll definitely make popcorn, and what about Friday the 13th?"He said with a cute crooked smile."Of course."She said anxiously. The truth is Hanna is terrified of even thinking of scary movies, but she certainly would leap at the chance to get close to Cameron.

They dimmed the lights and started the movie. Hanna's plan worked perfectly. As soon as Freddy came in to the scene and started murdering innocent people, she got to snuggle close to Cam's chest. They truly did love each other more than anything. At the half way point of the movie Hanna fell fast asleep in Cameron's arms.
