*Dr. Iceberg POV*

There I stood, in a room I grew all too familiar with. It was just the same as the others. The same concrete floors, the same brick walls, and the same viewing window. With all the similarities and foundation standards, somehow this room still managed to hold some kind of sentiment.

"Eira I have some news I need to tell you."

"What is it Julian?" She says looking up from another book.

"Well first of all, I would like to ask for you opinion on something." I say.

"Okay?" Eira says confused.

"If you were allowed to leave the foundation what you'll you do?" I ask her.

"I guess for me, I would just pick things up where I left them. I mean that's all I can do." She explains.

"Is that all?" I ask, hoping that she would have more to say.

"Well there may some other personal reasons but, they don't matter." She says looking down.

I hear her mumble something under her breath, but I didn't quite understand what she said.

"Pardon?" I say, trying to get her to say what she just did again.

"Oh, nothing." Eira says suddenly.

"Well, the council made a decision." I tell her stepping closer.

"And that is?" She asks, glancing back at the book in front of her.

"By the end of the week, we're reintegrating you back into society. You'll be allowed to leave." I tell her strait.

"I'll be allowed to leave?" She asks her eyes widening.

"Yes, not to mention you'll be able to live your life the way you want." I say giving her a smile.

"Excuse me but I have something to add." I hear a male voice butting in from the door.

"Bright, you're beginning to have a habit of butting into PRIVATE affairs." I say giving him an annoyed glance.

Bight walks into Eira's cell and inserts himself into the conversation.

"Yeah, yeah Icy, I have something I need to tell both you and Eira. Well more Eira than you Iceberg, but you should still know." Bright says looking to Eira.

"And that is?" I ask shaking my head and crossing my arms.

"Well Eira, I needed to give you this." Bright says handing Eira an envelope.

Eira opens the parchment, and scans the paper within, mumbling the words quickly as she does so.

"Dr. Bright what does this mean exactly?" Eira says looking up from the paper.

"The coucil noticed the input you gave Dr. Iceberg, as well as your intelligence. After careful consideration the council wanted to invite to work at the foundation, among myself, your brother, the foundations staff and of course, Dr. Iceberg. In fact you would be working directly under him." Bright explains.

"Oh I- um..." Eira says, stuttering taken aback.

"Of course, you don't have to make a decision now, we'll give you time to think about it." Bright says giving a smile.

"Bright may I have word with you real quick." I say, feeling my blood start to boil. I nod my head towards the door, indicating that I didn't want Eira hearing.

"Course." Bright said following me out.

"Eira, I'll be right back." I say before closing the door behind me.

As I shut the door behind me, I give Bright a glare as sharp as daggers.

"Jack, the hell are you trying to pull here?" I ask livid.

"Nothing, I'm just doing what Rose told me to do." He answered.

"So Rose told you to harass me about this personal issue?" I ask, my blood growing hotter.

"Iceberg, Eira was legitimately invited to work at the foundation. I can't change what the council said. This isn't even me being petty anymore. What I just did, was just me doing my job." Bright said getting annoyed, himself.

"Then why would she be working under me, and not Gears or Oswald?" I yell.

"Listen, Iceberg, I can't push you more than I already am. Whether you want to say something, or you don't want to say anything, that's entirely up to you. But just letting you know, you can't change what you know is fact." Bright says turning to walk away.

What I know as fact? Bright the damn things you think know, you damn nuisance.

*Eira's POV*

They want me at the foundation, and working with Julian? I won't deny, I know there's something there. But, do I really feel something towards the man that called me a freak? Not only that, do I want him as a colleague? He's certainly changed since our first interaction, I'll give him that, but do I?

It turns out he's more charming than I had originally assumed. Not to mention the many of late night talks we've had since.

Oh I don't know, maybe I'm just lying to myself. I don't really like him... Then why does my mind keep wandering back to him?

Why out of all people is it him my heart chooses? Just... why does it have to be him.

*3rd Person POV*

The day turns to night, and the night into day. Major decisions were to be made. Iceberg still refused to come to terms with what he was actually feeling. Simultaneously, Eira had to choose what to do with her life.

The 2 were faced with their decisions, but both knew the answer they wanted. Iceberg the ego-centric bastard was in love with a soon ex-SCP, he knew it but wouldn't come to terms with it. In addition, on top of Eira having to choose what to with her life, she had to choose between working with the icy bastard of a man or bringing herself elsewhere. They both wanted the option with each other, it was obvious.

Dr. Iceberg was once again within the walls of SCP 3I-8A's cell, talking to the individual being held there.

"Julien would you mind if I were to become your coworker?" Eira asked him.

"Um... well..." He stuttered back.

"Oh I was just asking if you don-" Eira quickly justified, shaking her hands.

"Eira I would love to have as a coworker." Iceberg said taking a deep breath before speaking and giving a smile.

With the emotion filled week coming to an end, Eira made her decision. It was officially announced that the foundation was soon welcoming a new staff member; level 2 security personnel, assistant researcher, Eira Lagertha.

"Welcome to the foundation E."
