Month 13

"You're just growing right along, Hana." Dr. Larsen said as he finished examining Hana for her 12-month checkup. The pup smiled brightly and giggled. "You just love showing off those teeth, don't you? With eight of them, it's probably time to go see a dentist."

Jimin nodded slightly as he adjusted Hana on his lap. "We have an appointment scheduled next week." He gently tickled his pup, making her laugh brightly.

Dr. Larsen hummed in approval. "Well, like I said, she's growing right along. 50th percentile in height and weight, her development is right on track for a pup her age. Keep doing what you're doing." Jimin and Yoongi thanked him. "Now we'll just get the nurse back in here to take care of those pesky vaccinations." Jimin's smile immediately fell and he scrunched his nose up. "She only needs three today--MMR, Hep A, and chicken pox."

"Stupid vaccines." Jimin grumbled as the doctor left. "It's 2023, you'd think they would have come up with a painless way to give them by now."

"I think they bother you more than they bother her at this point." Yoongi mused as Jimin adjust Hana on his lap, preparing to nurse her through the shots. "Why am I now picturing her sucking on your boob as a five-year-old getting her kindergarten boosters?"

Jimin shot him a look. "I won't nurse her for that long. Just another month or two. When she decides she's ready."

Yoongi headed to Namjoon's office at the end of the day and found the younger alpha organizing stacks upon stacks of paper. "Oof, I do not envy you right now."

Namjoon sighed. "Pups testing out, new pups enrolling, pups transitioning to new rooms, and getting ready for kindergarten paperwork. Why did I choose to work my way up to an admin position?"

"The pay raise."

"That's right." Namjoon shot him a finger gun before grabbing his coat and bag. "Although I must admit none of it is as difficult as getting together the transition paperwork for my own pup."

Yoongi's eyes widened. "Jae's moving out of the nursery?"

Namjoon nodded as he turned the light off in his office and headed out to the hallway, both alphas making their way towards said nursery to pick up their pups. "We were already planning on making the transition soon since he's the oldest, and I'd already told Cory and Alexis that I wanted him to move up before the little one starts in April because of the risk of him seeing it as him being replaced. Well, one of Room 13's pups is testing out right before Christmas so they want to move him in there at the new year." Yoongi must have made a face at the mention of Room 13 because Namjoon sighed. "Yes, I know you have personal issues with Tanner and Ashton, but they are good teachers..." Yoongi opted to stay silent, and not just because they were passing by the classroom in question. Namjoon must have thought the same thing because he waited until they were past it before mumbling, "And it wouldn't be ethical of me to use my position to bump another pup and get him put in Room 12 instead."

Both of them chuckled as they made it to the nursery, Namjoon opening the door. "Dada!" Hana called out as soon as she saw them and began crawling towards Yoongi as fast possible.

"Yoongi, you didn't tell us she was starting to walk!" Her teacher exclaimed as Yoongi crouched down to pick her up.

'What?" Yoongi froze as Hana pushed herself up to stand in front of him, gripping onto the front of his hoodie while babbling at him.

"We should have been told we'd have another walker in the room."

Yoongi blinked. "Please don't tell me that." The alpha pleaded as he stood up with Hana in his arms. "Please do not tell me that my daughter had her first steps today and neither Jimin nor I were there to see it."

His coworker was quiet for a moment. "Okay, I won't tell you that."

Yoongi pouted as he looked at his daughter. "Mochi~" Hana just smiled at him, oblivious to the emotional turmoil she had caused. "That's okay, we just won't tell Eomma and let him be surprised when you decide to walk for us at home."

Hana giggled as Jimin set her on her feet, not hesitating to take a few steps forward as he let go of her hands. She only made it a few steps before falling but managed to catch herself on the box resting in the middle of the living room. "You're getting so much steadier on your feet, Mochi!" Jimin praised her as he sat on the ground next to her, leaning in to press a kiss to her forehead as she babbled while patting the top of her box.

Yoongi exited the kitchen with a cup of coffee, joining them just as Jimin ripped a little bit of the paper on Hana's Christmas Eve box to make it easier for the toddler to unwrap it herself. She managed to get it halfway unwrapped before deciding the paper was more interesting than what could possibly be inside. "Yeah, I don't think this will actually be a thing for her until next year." Yoongi laughed, earning a light slap on the arm from Jimin.

"Of course, it's for her!" The omega insisted as he unwrapped the box the rest of the way. "Come on, Mochi, let's see what you got." He pulled Hana into his lap to make it easier to keep her attention on the contents of the box.

Inside was a brand new pair of Christmas pajamas--that of course matched the ones Jimin and Yoongi would be wearing that night--an alphabet book that was personalized so that Hana was the main character of it, a Christmas themed book, a four piece touch and feel puzzle, a bunny plushy, a pair of fleece lined slippers, and a pack of freeze dried red peppers from Fresh Bellies--Hana's new favorite snack after Seokjin gave her some to try at his birthday party. Upon seeing the last item, Hana immediately began babbling happily while attempting to open the packet. "I guess we can have snack time a little early today." Jimin giggled as he opened the snack, pulling a few pieces out. Hana immediately picked one of them up and started mouthing at it, fisting the others in her other hand. "I hope you always have a good relationship with food, Mochi."

Hana snacked on the rest of the peppers in her hands. When she was done, she climbed out of Jimin's lap and crawled over to Yoongi. "Dada~" She cooed, nuzzling against his scent gland.

"I could get used to this." Yoongi chuckled as he pulled Hana into his lap, playfully sticking his tongue out at Jimin's pout. "Let's be a daddy's girl. That's so much better than being attached to Eomma everywhere he goes."

"Just remember, I'm the one with these." Jimin gestured to his breasts. "She'll always come back to me at the end of the day."

"For now." Yoongi said teasingly, making Jimin toss the toy owl at him.
