Chapter Four, Book Two.

Josh's POV
(This is in the car, driving right before the accident)

I turn right out of the parking lot from the cafe. Mully turns on some music, and I start up a conversation.
"So, what should we do for our next boys video?" I ask, paying attention to my driving. I hear a faint sound of "hm" beside me.
"I don't really know. Maybe we could do an IRL video." Mully suggests. I nod.
"Ok, but do what?" I question further. He thinks a second before responding,
"Learning instruments?" He says, more like a question, however also sounding hesitant with his own suggestion. I smile a little, taking a left turn.
"Maybe we could just do another TikTok video? But maybe about trying to learn TikTok dances, or doing TikTok trends or something?" I think out loud.
"Could."
There's a few minutes or silence when I take a right. We stop at a stoplight, both trying to think. I chuckle a little before suggesting something else.
"We could do another you laugh you drink?" I hear him make a random noise.
"You pour nothing into the shot glass! It wouldn't be worth it!"
I scowl in a joking manner, mocking anger. "Well what do you suggest cunt! A fucking parade!?" I laugh out. He laughs with me, and I turn as the light turns green.
"Josh go!!" Mully screams frantic while in the middle of the turn.
"Why-!?" I question before feeling a sudden hit to my left side, my head being jerked right, glass flying by my head. I then jerk forward, a black blankness wrapping me up and sweeping me away.
I seemingly awake, if not just land, in a black room. It looks endless, but as I walk with my hands forward, there are walls. Confused, I really look around, studying and taking in anything I see, however there's nothing. No people, no light, no shadows, nothing. But then, my mind races.
Where am I? And where's Mully!? What happened!?
I try to breathe to calm myself down, but not succeeding much. Then, before I know it, I'm again swept away.
I awaken in a hospital. But no so much as a hospital room, as a. .surgical. . .room?. . . . .

Thinking back, I now understand it all. It all makes so much sense. Where I was, why I was confused. It just didn't in the moment, and I wasn't dead at the time. . .pretty damn close though. I just can't stand the thought of not being seen by my friends.
I just want to laugh with them again.

Eddie's POV

I wake up to see Gaege gone. My heart beats a little faster, but I'm sure he's ok. I get up, changing my sweatshirt and sweatpants and walking downstairs. I walk into the kitchen to see Gaege cooking food and dancing.
"Shawty got them apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur~"
Spin to the left.
I chime in. "The fur~"
He smiles, not bothering to look at me, as is he knows I've been standing there.
"Got the whole club was lookin at her!" He shouts. I laugh and he laughs, pausing the music. I walk up and hug him, him squeezing me, then kissing my cheek, walking back to the counter for breakfast.
"You doing better amor?" I ask, still with a smile on my face. He nods in response.
"I was thinking," he starts.
"Uh oh."
He giggles, throwing a hash brown at me. I laugh again and listen, chewing the hash brown that is now shoved in my mouth.
"We should go out today. All of us. We could go for dinner, or go to AirMax. Just something to get out of this house after the funeral." He says. I nod.
"That sounds like a plan." I say with a smile. He nods and continues with breakfast silently.
