Pills and Flowers

Sit, sit amongst the brightly colored daffodils and large oaks. Where the wind blows like a big breath of air.

Watch the fawn with its mother as it feeds upon her breast. As the daddy bird sings in the early hours of the morning. But dont listen closely to the mockingbird who tells old wives tales to the old men sitting blindly amongst them.

Instead look far to the corner where cracks form in our reality and what waits to be yours. To where the monsters sleep comfortably among hay and pine trees.

Watch for the black cat who plays with the little girl who just now scraped her knee and cries for help. Watch as her mother scoops her up like a weeping willow.

Watch as the blind woman who just lost her husband now down her pills for the day, but she will come back and take her own life to follow her late husbands tragedy. Wash down her pills with rum and coffee like it wasnt new so she couldn't taste them.

Her actions will be a downfall for the once silent neighborhood..

So sit , sit, sit watch the birds as they play amongst themselves. How their wings unfold like pages in a fairytale.

Watch as the children laugh and play unaware of life so far away. Watch as the young woman walking her dog smiles beautifully amongst dandelions.

They are silent but aware of the blind woman who took her life. And now her grandchild cries in silence for her loved one , whom they must watch be buried six feet under...
