Chapter 1: opening my eyes

*dream*
"Mommy?" I wonder where she is? Silly mommy. It's my birthday tomorrow! I will turn seven. Giggling I walk I to the kitchen, but mommy is not there. "Mommy!?" I begin to look more frantically. At last I find her. She is asleep on her bed. "Mommy! I found you!" I giggle as I jump on her lap. She doesn't move. "M-mommy?" I begin to shake her shoulders. "Mommy! Wake up!" I'm about to hake her agian but I wake up.
*end of dream*
I open my eyes. There are tears slidding down my cheeks so I reach up to wipe them away. My arm refuse to work. I look down to see them strapped down to a dentist chair. Same with my other arm, knees, stomach, elbows, and feet. I wonder why I am strapped to a chair. Suddenly, a door burst open revealing a doctor looking man. "Ah..the child is awake. How do you feel?" I give him a curious look. "I am fine. Thank you." He nods his head in approval. "At least some kids these days have manners. Why just the other day, a boy asked me if I ever had a pet dinosaur when I was little. The nerve." I shake my head in disapproval. "I find that it is very rude to ask a male or female about their age." His eyes widen. "You are a smart kid aren't you?" I nod my head. "Thank you. My mother had me tested when I was four. Since then I have had an I.Q of 200. Did you know that the average six year old only has an I.Q of about 65? How pathetic." He laughs. "I agree." I look at the restraints on my arms. "Why am I stepped to a chair?" His eyes sadden just a bit. "You, Avian Flight, are here by owned by A-tech. An organization that creates mutations. You will be expected to follow all rules, take the experiments without question, and be respectful at all times." While he was making his speech, he had prepared a syringe. Before I could protest, he plunged it I to my left arm, making the world go into darkness for me.
