Amaya Raine - (she/her)

Warning: This chapter contains vomiting. It's not extreme or described in depth, but I'm giving you the warning anyways!

Amaya sat on the cold bathroom floor, focusing solely on the large mug in her hand; it was nothing special, just water, but deciding if she could actually drink it or not felt like the most difficult decision she'd have to make since deciding between sheer or sequin fabric for her runway dress.

After a few more seconds of staring, she quickly set the mug on the ground and clung to the toilet. Amaya was taking short and controlled breaths, so focused on not puking again that she didn't notice Bella come back in to check on her, like she'd been doing all day.

Bella had easily made her way to her partner's side and carefully gathered Amaya's loose hair behind her, holding it with one hand while rubbing her back gently with the other.

After Amaya did, eventually, throw up, Bella finally spoke as Amaya pulled the handle to get rid of the contents of the porcelain bowl.

"That all?"

"...Yeah."

"Okay, okay, you're okay."

Bella let Amaya's blue hair go as she grabbed Amaya's abandoned mug, handing it to her.

"Just swish it and spit. I won't make you brush again like last time."

Bella half-chuckled, remembering how earlier in the morning, when Amaya's stomach bug has first appeared, Bella told her to brush after she was done...which only made her have to go again.

Amaya smiled. That's all she could do, she would've laughed if she'd felt up to it. She spit her water into the toilet and flushed it again, drying the excess water on her chin with some tissues from the bathroom's box.

"Better, honey?"

The pink haired girl asked as she cupped Amaya's cheek gently, brushing her thumb across it slowly while she looked at Amaya's teary eyes.

She handed her another tissue.

"For your eyes. They're still kinda watery. But you didn't full on cry this time! That's an improvement! That's- oh that means you're just too used to it oh god- oh Amaya."

"Don't feel bad, Bells. Y-you didn't get me sick. It's just a bug, totally normal."

"Yeah...yeah, I know but..."

Bella softly smiled and continued.

"I just don't like seeing you sick, Amaya. That's all."

Amaya put her hand over Bella's and leaned into it, humming contently.

"I'm so lucky to have you. Y-You do so much for me, especially right now and I-"

"No. Stop it. Save it. I don't wanna hear it, Amaya. I am here because I happen to love you very much, not because I 'pity' you or 'feel bad' for you. You're my girlfriend and you are sick and I am doing everything I can to help you feel better for no other reason then because I love you and want you to feel better."

Amaya didn't feel like arguing, and she didn't have the energy to return any of the wonderful words her girlfriend had said to her, so she just sighed and shut her eyes, while still pressing Bella's hand to her check.

"Okay."

"So where do you wanna go? We can stay here, or I could help you to your bedroom? I've got some soup on the stove for you in the kitchen since you seemed to be holding onto the last batch but..."

"I've been in here all day. I wish I could get some fresh air."

Bella looked nervous at Amaya's suggestion.

"I mean, if you really wanted to, we could stand out on the balcony outside of Ruby's room. Since she's not here, she won't mind us walking through there."

"No, no if I gotta throw up again, where do I do it? The potted planter? Over the side? I don't wanna be holding a trash can or anything either. I'll live without being outside for now.

We can sit in the kitchen. Or on the couch in the living room. The room is just to f-far away to reach the bathroom in time. And, well, at least the kitchen has a sink."

Bella nodded and stood up, repeating the end of Amaya's last phrase.

"At least the kitchen has a sink."

She stooped down to help Amaya up, who took the offer, but still protested as she rose.

"It's not my balance that's off you know; just because I'm puking my guts out doesn't mean I'm loosing my balance.

I'm fine Bella, honest!"

"I know...I just like to be sure."

Bella pressed a kiss to Amaya's cheek.

"You're too good to me."

"We're not arguing about this again."

"I'm not, I'm just stating a known fact.

The pink haired girl giggled and rolled her eyes as she led her partner out of the bathroom.

"I love you too, Amaya."
