Chapter 2: The cookie behind the counter

(Mint choco POV)

"Good job out there. You guys are free for the day"

I just finished a concert and was completely exhausted. I sighed and threw myself at a chair.

"SPArKLInG..-"
"What now."

He said, clearly annoyed. He rolled his eyes at me which caused me to have an urge to slap him.(which I didn't, cause you never know-)

(Bold= Sparkling
Normal= Mint Choco)

"Can you go out with me I'm lonely"

"No,that certainly isn't my problem so go entertain yourself. I'm going to find herb."

"Someone's gay-"

"I AM AS STRAIGHT AS A LINE SHUT UP! WE'RE JUST FRIENDS YOU-"

"If you were as straight as a line, the line would be curvy. Prove me wrong."

I laughed as Sparkling was overwhelmed with anger and tried to murder me. To escape death, I grabbed a coat and burst out the front door. Phew that was close.

But the cold outside did me no good. I was shivering and I probably sneezed 20 times in a row. I sat down at a nearby bench and started to google for cafés near me. I found a cute little cafe which sold hot cocoa and decided to go. The ratings were great and that sold me.

I use my scarf to cover my face in hope of not getting recognized. I make my way to the cafe while humming the tune of our band's latest song.

To my surprise, the cafe had near to no people. I was shocked but just walked up to the counter.

As I make my way, I look down at the floor, avoiding all eye contact. But I could have sworn I saw the girl at the counter blush.

I finally reached the counter.

"Hi what would you-"

The sweetest voice on earth tells me.
I can't help but look up and our eyes meet.

Well I tried my best. Hopefully I can write more. (I totally didn't forget this book existed)
