Strike down the bubble gum monster!

Ferdinand started gasping for air he began to swim, the plane was now sinking beneath the waves and completely engulfed with flames he now was the only survivor, in disbelief. He saw a light in the distance on a island he began to swim faster but then out the distance he heard a roar loud and ferocious he did not know what it was, very unfamiliar not like a lion or a bear but louder and very defining. Ferdinand knew only one thing and that was to get to the island and get help fast. As Ferdinand reached the beach with large waves crashing down on him he began to move slower and with pain in his legs, move he said to himself quietly move, move get to safety and again the terrible roar it was getting closer, move Ferdinand said to himself. It was at this point Ferdinand realised he had his faithful bubble gum it was in his back pocket, wet but still chewable and oh yeah still still sweet, he placed in his mouth and began to chomp down. Ferdinand first bubble he blew was very small, the second was larger I'm getting there just more time, then the scream and a roar.
