betty nodded as an answer, and took her gaze off the person, as she looked away.

"thank you." the person slightly smiled at her, and sat down beside her. the person took a book out of their bag, and proceeded to read it.

betty averted her attention to the doves that were walking around. "wow, these ducks are adorable."

as betty stared at the ducks, she accidentally hit the person beside her, which caused them to drop their book.

she looked at the person beside her, and immediately helped them pick up their book.

"i am so sorry.." betty quickly apologized, and handed back the person's book that she picked up.

they gave betty a slight smile, "don't worry, it's alright." they grabbed the book from betty's hand.

betty looked at her, and her heartbeat began to race. it was beating faster than usual. why was she feeling like this? she just met them, and she didn't know their name yet.

"hello? are you okay?" the person beside her told her, as she looked away, embarrassed.

"yes.. i'm fine.." she hesitated.

the person gave betty another smile, and gave back their attention to the book that they were reading.

"also, may i know your name?" they asked betty, closing their book and putting it down on the table.

"huh?" betty looked back at them, with a confused look on her face.

"your name. i'm asking for your name." they told betty, changing their position.

"my name? oh, my name is betty." she responded, with a slight smile on her face. "what about you? what's your name?"

"my name is [name]. nice to meet you." [name] responded, sipping their coffee.

betty gave her attention back to the ducks that were surprisingly still roaming around the park.

[name] glanced at betty. "hey, you seem interested in those birds, do you want to try and feed them? i can buy some duck food for you."

betty was surprised by their offer, but she nodded anyway. "yeah."

they set down their book on their chair, and stood up. "wait here, i'll be back." they flashed a small smile, and walked away.

betty suddenly felt... flustered. why was she feeling like this? why was she so affected by their actions? why was she feeling this way? betty felt her heartbeat race again.

after a few minutes, [name] came back holding a mini plastic bag, with duck food inside. "here you go."

betty shook her head, "me?"

"yes, you. you said you wanted to feed them." they said, handing over the mini plastic bag to betty.

"oh, thank you." betty stood up, accepting and grabbing the mini plastic bag from [name]'s hands.

they slightly smiled, "let's go. i know where more ducks are." they grabbed betty's hand, and pulled her to the center of the park, which had a lot of ducks.

[name] poured some duck food on betty's palm. "it's either you throw it, or you'll have to move your hand down to the ground so they'll be able to reach it." they explained.

betty did as [name] explained. but, she was more comfortable with throwing the food on the ground.

betty looked around, and realized that there were also some other people feeding the ducks.

the ducks gathered at where betty threw the food. "oh my gosh, they're so cute." betty said with a bright smile on her face, as she threw more duck food.

"yes, just like you."

betty averted her eyes to [name], who was just busy feeding and admiring the ducks. maybe she just misheard them.

[name] grabbed her phone from her bag, and started typing on her cellphone. who was she texting?

suddenly, they stood up. "hey, i need to go." they said, helping betty stand up. "this is my number, let's have lunch together tomorrow, if that's fine with you." they handed betty a paper with their number.

"alright, that's fine with me." betty agreed.

"good, see you tomorrow then." [name] said, with a slight smile on their face. walking away.

betty opened the door to their house, just to see her siblings in the same place.

"betty! you're here!" kat ran to betty, and held her wrists. "are you fine?" she added.

"yeah, i'm fine." she responded, with a calm tone.

"phew, that's good. i was worried." kat let out a relieved sigh.

"i didn't take that long though." betty put placed her bag on the chair, and grabbed her phone.

"sorry, i'm not used to this." kat sat down, leaning.

"it's fine. i understand." she sat down beside kat.

as betty was scrolling through instagram, she saw a post with somebody who looked exactly like her.

that was until she realized, the person in the post WAS her. who would post something about her randomly on the internet?

she clicked on the user who posted the picture. and the person looked surprisingly familiar..

ah, she finally remembered. it was the person that she met in the park!

betty started flustering, and she suddenly put on a big smile on her face. she got so flustered, that she covered her face with a pillow.

"huh? are you okay, betty?" wenny looked at her, with a confused look on her face.

betty removed the pillow off her face, "wa-wait.. ye-yes! i'm fine.." she hesitantly responded.

"eh, whatever you say." she then looked away, and started playing with their dogs again.

"guys! we should get ready for bed now. we still have some recording to do tomorrow." kat said, opening the door in her bedroom.
