New beginings

---AeRa's POV ---
I dropped my suitcase at the front of the tall building and dug in my pocket for the key. I pushed the heavy door open and stared in horror at the never ending stairs.
"OMO" I sighed
I knew Korean, well mostly, thats the only way my mother spoke to me, despite that only being half, I am also fluent in Spanish, however, you can tell both are not my native languages.
I got a tight grip on my luggage and dragged it up the first step. I sighed again in frustration.
"Need help?" A boy with a wide smile asked
Without waiting for a reply he grabbed my luggage and continued walking. I stared at his beauty and the way he picked the bag up so easily. Wow I thought in my head.
" Annyeonghaseyo" I said and half bowed as I rushed to keep up with him.
"My names Chen" he replied in Korean smiling that beautiful smile again.
"Are you from here, you sound different?" he said in attempt to make conversation.
I just shook my head and looked at the floor. He glanced at me from the corner of his eye.
"What's your name?" he asked trying again.
"AeRa " I whispered whilst pushing my glasses up my face. I wanted to slap myself. Why am I acting so shy? This isn't like me. I coughed to clear my throat and the tension then added.
"I just moved here today from America " I mumbled playing with a button on my coat.
"Ooh, wae? " He said as we slowly climbed the stairs.
I ignored the question and tapped his shoulder.
"My house is here" I said as I unlocked the door. "Thanks for the help" I said and smiled slightly whilst taking the luggage.
"Jinja?" He said " I live here" he pointed to the door exactly next door excitedly.
"We're neighbours I said smiling, I guess I'll be seeing you more often" my confidence returned yesssss.
"Seen you soon Chen" I said and slowly closed the door behind me.
I looked around the large living area and smiled. My parents sure knew my taste. It was furnished with a black sofa and grey cushions. The floor was a dark brown wood and at the back was a glass wall with a beautiful night view.
"OMO " I said out loud.
"Nice right" someone mumbled with a full mouth from another room.
I walked towards the kitchen where I heard the noise and saw my cousin Jin with another boy eating at the breakfast bar.
"JIN" I screamed and ran to his arms. I squeezed him tightly and he chucked. I could feel the vibrations rippling through me.
"I missed you little one" he smiled and ruffled my hair.
"We're the same age" I said patting my hair down.
"This is my friend, we all call him rap monster" Jin said pointing to the boy next to him who was stuffing his face, he spared me a glance and waved slightly.
"Anneong" he mumbled, then chocked on the food.
Me and Jin both laughed in response. I opened my black fridge and poured him some water. He nodded his head and gulped it down. He's funny I thought in my head.
Me and Jin looked around the other rooms whilst rap mon continued to eat.
"So you know everything?" He asked curiously as we sat I front of the window wall.
"Ne" I replied whilst looking of into the distance. Korea is beautiful at night I thought. Jin interrupted my thoughts and said
"My parents are the same you know, it's a family thing." He said, he looked sad for a moment as he spoke again.
"Im nothing like them, you're not like them either right?" He asked, he sounded like he needed reassurance.
"Ne" I replied again. "I want to forget them" I said showing no emotion. "Their my past" I said before walking to my room. I wasn't sad nor angry, I don't care anymore I just need to live my life. Jin sat on my bed with crossed legs as I unpacked my bags. We stayed quiet awhile, and I could hear loud noises coming from next door. Which reminded me about Chen. A small smile slipped onto my face, he seemed nice enough. I hope we go to the same school. There sounded like there was more then five people, honestly it sounded fun. I unpacked the last of my things into my walk In closet and flopped down onto my bed next to Jin. Rap mon then knocked the door before slipping into the room.
"Heyy" he said with a cheesy grin on his face. I couldn't stop myself.
"Aww so cute" I said poking his dimple.
Jin laughed and rap mon flapped my hands away before smiling.
"Can we stay here tonight?" Jin asked turning towards me.
"Sure, there's lots of space" I said relieved.
I didn't really want to stay alone tonight and I think they sensed that too. We all sat in the living room with blankets and cushions watching a movie when my belly made a loud grumble. They both laughed as I blushed and covered my face with the blanket.
"Your hungry" Jin said between laughs.
"You don't say" I said rolling my eyes.
"I'll make you something" he said jumping out the sheet enthusiastically.
Rap mon who was engrossed in the movie heard and his eyes went wide.
"Definitely not, I'll never forget how all of you tried to poison me that time when were filming master chef for rookie kings" he shuddered and paused the movie.
"I'll make you something" he said with his bright smile.
"We bought lots of food for the house" Jin said siting back down and unpausing the movie.
"Thanks" I said squeezing his arm whilst focusing on the movie.
Ten minutes later the movie finished and me and Jin bounced towards the kitchen, following our bellies as usual. I saw a large pot with ramen noodles and laughed.
"You took this long to make ramen" I said between laughs.
"yaa, it has to be perfect" he said setting the pot and bowls in the middle of the table.
We all slurped and gulped the food down silently like little children. I have a good feeling about this place, I'm enjoying it already. Once we all finished fighting for the last noodle in the pot we played Rock,Paper,Scissors to see who should wash up. I lost of course, I've always been bad at that game. Rap mon and Jin returned to the comfy sofa and joked around whilst I tidied up and thought deeply about my day. Jin and rap mon are just like brothers to me already. The noise from next door has stopped and I looked at the clock. It's late I thought as I dried my hand and returned to the living room. Jin and rap mon were both snuggled under the blanket sleeping. I took a picture of the two sleeping and smiled as I snuggled up next to them and fell asleep also.
