"Go," said the robot voice (which was really getting old).
Everyone ran in to see structures of buildings, perfect for moving unnoticed, a tower in the southwest corner, perfect for L and Jonathan to set up their equipment, and materials everywhere perfect for... anything.
They all took one last glance at each other, then they split off to their own directions.
L and Jonathan ran up to the tower, climbing the estimated 15 flights of stairs. Their time was approximately 50 seconds.
"Hey L, you want audio or visual," Jonathan asked as soon as they made it to the top. He was referring to the software system. Their strategy: one computer controls the headsets, one computer controls the cameras. Headsets and cameras. Audio and visual.
"Eh. I'll take visual." L responded.
They then opened up there computers on the desks in the room.
On Jonathan's computer, you see the audio section of the software (which looks much like a website home page). The "sub-sections" said; Moose, L, Tim, Jakyos, Jonathan, Oscar, and X-HS4. X-HS4 stood for Extra(X) Headset(HS) and it being the fourth out of seven extra headsets(4).
On each control screen, you could control volume (of talking and hearing), who can talk to that particular headset, power, and about 40 other things.
Jonathan went to the control screen of X-HS4, and changed X-HS4 to be Zak.
"L," Jonathan said, "we gotta get a new headset."
"Yeah. What do you think happened to make it malfunction?" L asked.
"I may have spilled my Double Deluxe Slurpee on it when I was watching B6FT4," replied Jonathan. B6FT4 was the 16th best team worldwide, they were insanely flexible and fast, and they were the only all-girl team in the top 1000. They were super amazing... and super attractive.
You're able to watch team's play on a Crystal Hologram. (They made the name to make fun of psychics and other known phenomenons when they were all declared impossible and extremely inaccurate. Damn scientists.) It's much like a hologram monitor but... in your house.
"Of course you did Jonathan," remarked L, "no shame there."
On L's computer, you see nothing... until he does some fancy password which brings him into the settings.
On the settings, you can connect cameras by code, and zoom in or out on different areas. Not much... except for the fact that L must keep watch on every single camera, every second.
"Aw, man!" screamed L in frustration.
"What's wrong?" Jonathan asked in true confusion. True confusion, due to the fact the pair rarely have something gone wrong.
"I forgot to give Tim and Oscar the cameras," explained L. Tim and Oscar's job was to go around setting up the cameras (as L pretty much said, but I (the narrator) thought I'd tell you anyway).
"Ugh, I'll tell them to come," said Jonathan in an annoyed tone.
"Tim. Oz," Jonathan blurted into his wire, "we forgot to give you the cameras. Come around to the back of the tower. I'll figure out a way to get it to you."
"Copy that," Oscar replied.
"We're on it," Tim agreed.
Jonathan went over to the other side of the room to these big cargo boxes. He figured there might be some materials in the boxes that could help him descend the cameras down to Oscar and Tim from the top of the tower. They weren't taking any chances.
