its been months since that little classroom scene and well physically it seemed like everyone was able to get over it all. they talked about it and Nate admitted he was wrong for his actions but he never apologized for what he did. that was one thing about Jacobs if he meant it he was gonna stand behind it with every living bone in his body. they were friends, really really close friends. at least in riyahs eyes this was friendship but in nates this was the puppy love stage of their relationship

as the months went on new things sprouted as old things died off. for instance Nate was now in therapy the seed of him becoming a 'better' person had been planted while the very frail thin tree that he and Maddie called their love had been cut down swiftly. it was odd this time, no fighting had happened like normal. no one had ran back for very very separate reasons. Nate didn't run back because he was head over heels for riyah and Maddie didn't run back because she knew things now she knew more than the sounds he let out behind that door. for months before the break up had happened she had been snooping around after sex or even when Nate simply got out the car to go into the store she had invaded his privacy searching every tiny creases of his room and car as if she was looking for a murder weapon. she had asked him about an jewelry reseat and he shot back about how it was one of her gifts for Christmas but we all knew  no one started shopping for Christmas in September, October? maybe plus this was the recite for a watch. Nate knew maddies opinion on watches she thought they were pointless when her phone was always glued to her hand or there was a clock on the wall or literally someone standing next to her.

it was now April and in California as normal there hadn't even been any snow to melt. riyah would go on about snow when she had dinner at the Jacob household, she ate there a lot not because she liked Nate let alone his family just found it.. odd. she stuck around to see if Marsha was as stupid as she made herself seem and look. was Mrs. Jacobs actually dumb enough to take Cal and Nate's shit? she hadn't been having to take nates a lot because riyah was there to beat him in the back of the head for disrespecting his dear mother. but that was the thing riyah soon stopped protecting her when she realized that she knew, she knew everything and saw every fucking thing. its not like she had a job she was literally almost always there. riyah knew if that she caught mr. jacobs staring at the asses of the young male waiters when they went out then so did Marsha and nate.

everyone's parents had gotten together not to long ago to decide what they were gonna be doing for spring break, it was most of everyone's last year in high school so why not make it special? Maddie use to babysit this ladies kid who owns a little lodge in like Washington or some shit so nates dad had gotten them a bus along with a driver.

Nate was the first one on the bus seeing as it did stop at his house first, he felt like a teacher collecting her group for a field trip, with his gray carry on in one hand and his clip board in the other he made his way on there. he checked the seat of the bus and made sure it was clean he was extra curious on the busses bathroom he wanted to make sure everyone was comfortable so he made sure to switch the soap out for dove and the one ply toilet paper out for two. normally Nate wouldn't really give a fuck about shit like this or anyone else's well being but he had made promises to riyah and he wanted to make sure she saw changes in him. the first stop being made would be cassies house where he would he be picking up her, kat and... Maddie. he hadn't seen Maddie since their break up almost 3 months ago. yes they went to school together but they didn't have any of the same classes so they never really passed by each other in the halls and he simply wasn't focused on her at the games.  "hiii" cassie beamed as she got on the bus, cassie was a touchy person and Nate was...well he was not. but never less he didn't push  her off of him when she pulled him into a very much unwanted hug. he shared a few words and a side hug with kat before Maddie waltzed on the bus. even when going into one of the coldest places ever she still didn't wanna put on actual clothes. she wore dark purple leggings and a cropped lose fitting graph tee shirt. she stopped Infront of him, her head held high as she sighed looking him straight into his dark brown eyes offering him a small smirk as she dropped her bags off right Infront of him. "hi Nate" and with that she moved along leaving him to like always clean up her mess. next one the list we're the twins, and then Jules who came with rue and elliot. this was suppose to be another one of jules ways of keeping jules away from her drugs as if not one teenager on this bus didn't have a supply of weed or something on them.

then it was the the Lee's, McKay had boarded in a red and black long sleeve flannel that he was wearing as a jacket and a black long sleeve shirt with the same colored black jeans. his actual winter jacket was on top of his carry on items. "wassup McKay" Nate grinned dabbing him up they chatted as they waited on riyah to finish locking up the house. she wore a pair of over-sized jeans about 3-5 sizes to big and you could tell that she had tailored the waist to fit her. she sported a pair of yeezes and a light green long sleeve baggy sweater. when she stepped on the bus not only did nates heart drop but so did Maddie's. Maddie stared at riyah and nates interaction seeing how he smiled when he saw her the way his eyes crinkled at what she was saying. he looked so much more happier with her and that boiled something deep inside of her.
