She was an exceptional talent in the field of sales . The input and insights she gave me reduces the amount of work I have to do by 70 percent . After a period of 3 months the board of directors appauled me for the great work I have been doing and gave me a huge raise . I felt like I should reward Shefali . For the first 3 months she kept a distance from me , she respected me like a boss but was not friendly . I called her in and asked her to sit . Shefali - is there something wrong sir ? If I have made a mistake forgive me , I can do much much better tha this . Me - calm down calm down , I have to tell you that your incredible work you have been doing is paying off . You are a wonderful talent and because of you company is getting more clients on a daily basis . Shefali - really ?? Me - yes , by the way its against company policy to reward someone before 1 year of service but still I feel you deserve something so I am offering you a huge raise. Shefali - thank you sir . Me- you have earned it. All other people working under me were so jealous of Shefali . They spread rumours that she is sleeping aroung to move up the corporate ladders.
After about six months the story was no different , she was earning huge profits for me and was getting raise and rewards regularly . Now other colleagues of Shefali started to ignore her , they stopped inviting her to parties and functions. She told me about this and I felt sorry for her . So I told her , right now I cant do anything but if you work like this for another 6 months you will be eligible for promotion from assistant to associate . You will be the youngest female associate in the company . You will get an office in place of those desks and power to dismiss any of those pricks picking on you . First she thought I was joking and trying to get work out of her . Its always said Never Trust your Boss and thats what she was doing but after 6 months she got to know that I wasnt lying . In the felicitation programme I offered her the post and gave a wonderful speech about her . She was named as a new associate member . All others were furious but now they cant say a word to Shefali .After the programme Shefali came to my office . Shefali - may I come in Sir?
