A Different Summer (Calum Hood)

chapter 2

Today was the day, I was leaving to go on tour with Niall and his mates. "I'm gonna miss you" Alex said. He picked me up and spun me around, causing me to giggle. "I'm gonna miss you too, take care of my mom, and my annoying sisters for me" I said as I hugged him one last time. "I sure will, text me once you land. Have fun, but not to much fun" he winked. I knew for sure I was gonna miss my best friend, I honestly don't know what I would do without him.

"Oh honey, hopefully, you'll play less soccer, while you're over there, you worry me sometimes" I couldn't help but let a tear slip out. "I know mom, but you know why I play as much as I do" I say as I hug her. "I know sweety, I hope that while you're with Niall that, that'll help you, but no more being sad" She said as she wiped my cheek, removing the tears that continue to stream down.  "Have fun, and take care, call me once you land, I love you" "I love you too mom, and I will" I say. "Last call for flight 692" the announcer said. I hugged my two little sisters. "Behave for mom, don't give her a hard time alright" They nodded. Niall and I then headed off. I turned around before I got on the plane, and noticed my family wave. I smiled and waved back. I know for sure that I'll miss being home.

"Finally we are here " Niall said as he stretched.

"Tell me about it, I officially hate riding planes with you" I joked.

He pretended to be hurt by my remark, but ended up laughing along with me.

"Dians, Niall you're finally here" Louis yelled. I hugged them all, and we talked for a bit. "Well Diana, we have some people we want you to meet later " zayn said. "The aussies" Harry winked.
"Why do you guys keep doing that" I asked referring to them winking at me every time they say aussies. "Doing what?" Niall asked innocently. I playfully rolled my eyes. I then left to take a shower and got ready to meet the four Australians. I chose to wear a blank tank top with a grey cardigan, and grey ripped skinny jeans, with white converse.

I applied mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss, and a small amount of foundation. I decided to put my hair in a ponytail, and clipped my bangs too. I quickly called my mom and talked to her for a bit, and texted Alex. "You look great" Liam said. I Thanked him and we headed out.

"Ah lads great to see you" Louis said as he hugged, the four Australians, I'm assuming. Niall, Zayn, Harry, and Liam greeted them too, while I awkwardly stood there. "Mates meet my bestest friend Diana, Diana this is Ashton, Luke, Michael, and Calum" Niall said as he pointed to each one. "Hey I thought I was your bestest friend ever" Michael pouted. "Shh Diana can't know that" Niall tried to whisper but failed miserably. We all bursted out laughing. After controlling my laughter I said "Well I'm hurt" I started to fake cry. "That's okay Diana, I'll be your best friend" Harry suggested. "No way, back off girlfriend, she's mine" Niall said in a girly voice. We all again bursted out laughing. "Why don't we sit down and order" Liam suggested, as we all took a seat. I sat down between Harry, and Niall, and we all ordered.

" So Diana, how did you and Niall meet?" Calum asked.

"I um, actually went to there first concert, here in America, and we'll I went to there meet and greet-"

"We instantly clicked, I knew somehow I had to make her my best friend, so I secretly met up with her, and we exchanged numbers, and we've been best friends since"Niall finished as he wrapped his arms around my shoulder. After we finished eating, we all went to the One Direction tour bus. I was sat in between Michael, and Luke. Zayn and Niall were playing Call Of Duty against Ashton, and Calum; it's very entertaining. "I will fücking kill you Calum, you'll see" Niall shouted. "In your dreams Horan, I'm better at Call Of Duty than you"Calum shouted back. "Fück this shit, I'm out" Ashton said as he threw his controller. "Ashton sucks at video games"Luke commented. "Yeah, I noticed, I bet I can play better than him" I smirked.

"In that a bet Miss Diana " Ashton raised his eyebrow.  "Diana will kill you all, she's the queen of video games" Niall shouted. "We'll see about that" Ashton smirked. "Alright new game, Diana who's gonna be your partner" Michael asked. "I take Niall as my partner In crime"

It was Niall and I against Michael and Ashton. "I will kill you Irwin, even if it's the last thing I do" I shouted.

"Ah What the hell Michael, you killed me" Niall shouted and threw his contoller. "Haha you suck Horan" Michael stuck his tongue out at Niall, and I took this as an opportunity and killed him. "Look who sucks now" Niall yelled. "Whatever, Ashton prove to her, who's the best at video games" Michael patted his back, and watched. "Sure will" Ashton smirked. I randomly started pressing buttons and killed Ashton. "Ha I win, in your face" I stuck out my tongue, and Ashton just huffed. "Did you just loose to a girl" Luke laughed. "And the Queen of Call Of Duty is Diana" Harry shouted. Liam than walked in with a paper crown and placed it on my head. "Bow to the queen" Niall began to bow and soon most of them joined except for Ashton. "I let you win, that should be my crown" Ashton protested. "Just admit it Irwin, I won"

"I'm tired so I'm heading off to bed, see you lads tomorrow" Luke said as he got off the tour bus and got on his own. I yawned felling tired myself too, it's been a long day. "If you don't mind Diana, you will be staying with these lads" Niall said gesturing to Michael, Ashton, and Calum. I nodded and headed off to the bus after exchanging goodnights, with the One direction guys. "Oh hey Diana, what after re you doing here?" Luke asked as he took off his shirt. I avoided to look at his bare chest, and somehow I found interest in my converse. "She'll be staying with us " Michael answered. I couldn't help but think what it would be like to stay with the the 5sos guys. They are all really nice, and coo, to hang out with, I'm actually glad I agreed to come on tour with Niall. "This here will be your bunk" Calum pointed to one of the bottom bunks. "But there is only four bunks, one of you guys won't have a bunk"

"That's okay, I'll be taking the other he couch" Calum said s he grabbed a few pillows and blankets from the closet. "I'll take the couch Calum, I don't mind" I said as I felt bad for taking his bunk. I tried to take the pillows and blanket from him but he pulled away. "It's no big deal, I sleep better on the couch than on the bunk anyways" Calum said. "Are you sure? Because really I don't mind sleeping on the couch" " positive"he smiled. "Thanks Calum, well goodnight" "goodnight" He smiled and arranged his pillow and blanket on the couch. I watched him arrange his bed, and he noticed I was staring and continued to smile at me before continuing to finish. He was such a gentleman, I'm sure I'll be great friends with Calum, Michael, Ashton, and Luke before I return home, for the tournament.
