Fantastic Dream

Prologue

I am a young lady who is spending my entire life focusing on studies. Love life? That's my least priority. I have dreams that I wanted to be achieved.

I am Shanel Grace Acosta. I am 19 years old, currently a 1st year college student. And, here's my wonderful and exciting story full of happy and sad experiences.

I was walking around when suddenly I saw a man looking at me... No he is starring at me. I don't know why I feel a sudden heartbeat. He is handsome and a masculine man. I'm with my mom, dad, and my friend Kiesha when he approached me. Kinikilig si Kiesha sabay sabing papunta sa amin yung lalaki.

I gaze him into his eyes and felt different sensation throughout my body. I felt he has an effect on me. I can't calm my mind. My thoughts were crashed inside my head and I don't know how to start a conversation with him.

"Hi." He said.

I didn't utter any words for a sec while my friend beside me hindi mapakali sa kinauupuan.

"H-hi." Nahihiya kong sagot.

I feel my heartbeat so fast. I don't know why!

"Can I ask?"

"Sure." Agaran kong sagot.

"What's your name? Nakita kasi kita kanina na dumaan. And, I just thought if I can ask your name?"

Di ako nakapagsalita. Habang yung kasama ko ay may paghampas pa sa balikat ko. Tanging nagawa ko lang ay tumingin kina mama at papa. Napangiwi na lang ako sa mga nangyayari ngayon.

"Oh, is that your parents?"

"Ha? Ahh, oo." Di ako mapakali dahil alam kong masama na ang tingin sa akin ng mga magulang ko.

Narinig kong tumikhim si papa sa gilid.

"Ah, hi po. I'm Finn and can I ask you a permission if I can date your daughter?" Magiliw niyang sabi. Ako naman ay napanganga sa gulat dahil sa narinig ko. Date? Nagmamadali ba ang isang 'to? Eh, kakakilala or should I say na kakakita niya pa lang sa akin. Ano to? Love at first sight, ganoon?

"Hoy! Tigilan mo iyang kakahampas sa akin." Suway ko sa kaibigan ko.

"Eh, paano ba naman kasi, akala ko sa akin pupunta, eh sa iyo pala. Gosh, Grace magkaka-love life ka na!" Mahina at tili nitong sabi.

"Hoy! Wala pa akong balak ano. At saka I don't like him."

"Really? I know you very well, Shanel Grace. I saw how you look at him earlier." I looked at her and rolled my eyes at her. Daming alam.

Napabaling ako sa kung sino ng may lumapit sa harap ko.

He smiled at me widely. Ang gwapo pala nito kapag ngumingiti.

"Bes, huwag mo namang tignan ng malalim baka matunaw." Bulong nito. Di ko pinansin iyon at tinanong ang estranghero sa harap ko.

"What do you need?" I ask but he keeps on smiling.

"Ahh, I forgot to introduce myself to you. I'm Finn and I'm 25 years of age. And you?"

"I'm Shanel Grace Acosta."

"Anak, gising na. Male-late ka sa school. Bumangon ka na at sumunod na sa labas." Naramdaman ko ang pagyugyog sa akin ni mama.

I opened my eyes. Gosh! It's just a dream but it feels so real. I felt my heartbeat is so fast. Who is he again? Frei? Frin? Aghh!!! I can't remember his name. But, I do remember his age. He's 25 years old.

Out of frustration, ginulo ko ang buhok ko. It feels so real. And, I can feel that I'm in my dreams. Okay, Shanel it's just a dream. Don't take it so serious.

Pagkatapos kong maligo at magbihis lumabas na ako upang makapag-umagahan.

"Hi papa, mama. Good Morning." I gave them a kissed on cheek.

"Anak, always remember what I told you. Don't pressure yourself. Just enjoy your college and if you need some help, I or your mom were there to help you. Okay?"

"Yes pa. Thank you po."

I finished my food and waited for them.

"Be safe, anak. We'll see you later at home."

"Bye ma, pa. Be safe also. I love you both." I hugged and kissed them for a goodbye.

"Kiesha. You know what, I dreamed about a handsome guy who's into me. He's masculine, he's 25, but I don't remember his name and his face is not clear in my mind at all. Also, he's so respectful that he even ask permission from my parents if he can date me. Gosh! I feel like it's real." Sumbong ko ng makarating kami sa cafeteria.

She ate her food bago sumagot. "Really? I hope he's real. So I can meet him as well." My forehead creased at nabatukan ko pa siya.

"Hey! Sorry ka na lang. Find your match, loser!" Pang-aasar ko.

"Hey! I'm not a loser!" I saw how her face turned like into beast. Tinawanan ko na lang ito ng hinampas ako sa balikat.

"Speaking of paghampas mo, you were there in my dream, screaming like someone tickles you when you saw the man."

"Gosh! What's my reaction?"

"Ayun, tili ka ng tili at sabay hampas sa balikat ko na parang ikaw yung nilapitan."

"And you?" Niliitan ako nito ng mata.

"Wala. Hindi ko nga alam yung gagawin ko dun eh."

The bell rang that indicates the class is about to start. We proceed to our first class.

"Everyone, we have a new student. He was from US and he is also a Half-Filipino. Let's give him a warm welcome class."

Ang mga mata namin ay nakatutok lang sa pintuan at hinihintay ang papasok na bagong estudyante.

My eyes were stock on him when he entered the class. I felt a different heartbeat and couldn't even blink my eyes.

"Hi. I'm Griffin Kyzer Castillo, Half-Filipino and Half-Canadian. But, I was born in US and eventually grew up there. And, I'm 25 years old. Nice meeting you all." He is so serious and mysterious one. He has beautiful ocean blue eyes.

"Welcome to the Philippines, Mr. Castillo. You can sit beside that girl with bun hair." He nod and went towards the blank chair.

I looked at him and him as well.

"Hi. I'm Griffin Kyzer Castillo, is this chair available?"

"Y-yeah. It's available." I smiled and turned away my gaze.

Si Kiesha naman ay bumulong sa akin. "Kanina ko pa napapansin ang tingin mo sa kaniya. I know you very well, Shanel Grace. I saw how you look at him earlier."

Gosh! Why I feel something weird?!
