Clans Accused

Chapter 3

"Where are we going?" Sunpaw asks.

Petalsong plopped down on her belly. "I don't know," she snapped to Sunpaw.

Mistybreeze ignores Petalsong and pads over to her sis, Suntail.

Petalsong pads to Mistybreeze and thrust her muzzle close to her face. "Scared of me? Why ya ignoring me." She turned and dashed to Skystar.

Mistybreeze snickers, and runs over to Sunpaw. "Hey." she meows

Petalsong finishes her dirt and trots to Mistybreeze. "Hello, I was asking, are you scared of me?" 

Petalsong whipped around in hate and sniffed.

Emberpaw raises an eyebrow, "Confusing. Warriors these days." She turns to Skystar, "Where do we go now?"

"We have to go back to camp, first."

"Okay" Sunpaw says, walking beside Skystar.

Mosspelt leaps up when she sees her kit come through the barrier. "What happened at the gathering?"

Linkclaw pads through the barrier.

"Shadowclan accused us of killing Needlestar." Sunpaw says to his mother.

Mosspelt's eyes widened. "How come?" she whispers hoarsely.

"She was found dead at the border of Hopeclan and S-shadow clan" Sunpaw says.

Mosspelt sinks to the ground. "This can't be true." she whispers.

Petalsong snorted. "ShadowClan dummies. Now we probably have to scram and find a new camp. OR LAUNCH AN ATTACK!!" She glanced at Skystar with a sneer. "But, of course, our leader has to decide that."

"No. I will not attack. We will leave," Skystar mews with a snarl underneath.

Emberpaw nods. "That's a good idea. It'll implicate us even more if we attack. If they don't want us we can leave. We'll survive anyways."

"Yes, we will survive." Sunpaw says with confidence.

Petalsong agreed for once. "Whatever. I guess that's smart." Quietly, she added, "And boring. Unless we go on somewhat of an adventure. But I doubt that.."

Mosspelt sinks down. "Leave?" she whispers. "Do we have to?"

Petalsong snaps impatiently, "Of course we have to! Cause Skystar ain't wanna fight."

Emberpaw pats Mosspelt sadly. "We have been given 2 moons to prove our innocence. The other clans clearly don't believe us, what else can we do? They won't take any sort of logic or reasoning."

Mosspelt sighs. "I don't want to leave home." she meowed.

Emberpaw sighs. "Neither do I. But we need to do something, right?"

Mosspelt starts to groom Sunpaw's pelt. "I guess so." she meowed uncertainly.

Suntail sits at camp. Silently.

"When are we going to leave, Skystar?" Sunpaw asks.

Pebblestar sighed, "We'll leave after we gather up all the cats."

Pebblestar leaped onto the Highledge.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" Pebblestar yowled.

"As you know, the other clans have accused us of killing Needlestar."

She sighed, "We have no choice but to leave. Get ready, we'll be leaving now."

"I still don't understand why they think we murdered Needlestar." Stormblaze mews.

"Me neither, but they clearly don't want us here." Pebblestar mewed.
