It was the end of the day which meant I didn't have to hear the sound of that annoying bell for at least 12 hours. As I hurried to my last class thinking I was going to be late, all of my classmates were waiting outside. "Is the teacher here today?" I asked.

"Well there isn't a note on his door." One of them said. We all stood in uncomfortable silence for about a minute.

I broke the silence. "I have a paperclip and can try to pick the lock."

A few kids laughed which made me realize how many people actually had at least a little sense of humor but some couldn't take the joke.

"OMG, you're gonna get in trouble!"

"What if it gets stuck in the lock?"

I rolled my eyes. "I was joking." Even so, one kid who went by the name of ~~~~ took the clip from me, shoved it into the lock and started wiggling it. Luckily the security camera was facing away from the classroom so no one would get in trouble by the school. The kid bent down and "picked" it to the best of his abilities (which were none lol). "Uh hey ~~~~, you should uh probably take that out just in case the teacher does come." He stayed silent but took my advice and tried to pull out the paperclip from the door. His eyes went wide and pulled harder.

A girl from my class noticed –out of the four which included myself– and started freaking out. "TakeitoutTakeitoutTakeitoutTAKEITOUTTAKEITOUT!" ~~~~ kept jiggling the lock but the end of the clip was stuck like glue.

"Let me try." I said. ~~~~ moved aside and with one tug I stumbled back but ended up victorious. "Ha-ha! We are not doing that again!" I hid the evidence and leaned against the wall waiting.

After what felt like forever, the teacher finally came and let us into the classroom. We stepped in and took our seats as he took roll.

"Before we begin our lesson on the battles of the Civil War, we will be switching up seats since some of you," He pointed to the back of the class. "Are chit-chatters." All of the three girls in the back shut up. Everyone groaned and stood up. I could hear one kid say that at least this will take up some time. The teacher called each student's name one by one and pointed to where they would be seated for the entire next semester. It was a small class. A nice bunch of 16, self-conscious kids in one room. The few good things about it was that we didn't get an absurd amount of work and the teacher would sometimes give out Reese's cups for getting questions right. It was also at the end of the day and I could go straight home. Just me with my own thoughts and my cats would be sleeping on my binder. Depending on my mood I'd put some music on which would blare at the loudest possible volume my computer could handle. I'd have a warm cup of chamomile tea and after I would finish my work, I'd watch the new Jaiden Animations video. Maybe depending on the time I would also make some food or take a nap...

My mind snapped out of it when I realized which students were left to be seated. Me and my friend's crush. Huh. Well this is fun and oddly cliche. Luckily she isn't in this class; she'd be having a fit!

I didn't know this kid. We shared only one class and that was a whole two years ago. All I did know was that according to my friend, if I could still even call her that, he was popular. Or well "popular". And that he had Tiktok hair. Also that he had these deep almond shaped eyes with the silkiest brown one could imagine. And that he always wore hoodies, took the greatest photos, had a giant house (probably was a mansion), and was also kinda quiet. And according to my friend he was hot. Not my words, hers. To be honest I didn't know and I didn't care. The only thing that was running through my mind was, PFFFFFFFFFFFT HA! THIS IS SO FUNNY! LMAOOOOOOOOOO! Ok maybe not that last part but you get the point.
