Chapter 5- The split part 1

With a simple pull of a string open fires up the road out to the quiet alley. Michael sticks his head out of the tense air while I feel more and more like a little mouse where I stand behind him. I look out over the damp ground I stood on, not so long ago. The light that shone faintly at a corner before has gone, but so has anas Not a single leaf almost moved. This can not be any good... Michael turns to me and some that it is quiet, I feel how i swallow. The sound of our steps knocking quietly beside us. The wind is calm but cool and make me shudder as we move along the wall very slowly.

I turn my attention to Michael to see where he's thinking about this, his face radiate a strong sense of guarded and concentration. The short wall runs out and I feel the way I hold my breath when Michael pausing to listen for signs of movement.

I breathe relieved when he turns around and nods at me, with a light step, I start to go out before I suddenly feel his arm towards me.

"No, Jen!.. Not that way" he says in a whisper with his eyes turned towards the exit. My reaction goes in two directions, the first is to  the surprise that has firmly against my waist and the other surprise that I feel when I look at him.

"Huh? Where do you mean, Michael? There is no other way than this! "I say, half protest, while my thoughts begin to figure out the mystery that has sold me. He shaking his head.

"Out there, we get picked that out as on the winds of the savannah..." He looks out for a moment before he continued,

"No, we take the shortcut," he takes her hand away from me and go back about two or three steps before he stop.

I raise the eyebrow when he started pressing and squeezing the brick pieces.

"The shortcut..?" I repeat silently to myself as I make my way to him.

"Where's the shortcut?" I asked confused and looks at him. Just then, I see how he stop with his right hand, knocking lightly on the brick bitten before he literally press it. I'll just ask him where he was when I hear the stones pulled to the ground in less than a minute, the wall that I first did not see the things of interest opened up like a door some way to a new, narrow, half-blackened once. I pull a surprise for breath and feel that I get back a step.

I turn to Michael who looks at me with indifferent glance before looking into the gloom.

"THIS is our way, Jennet" My eyes go from Michael to the road in front of my feet. Entrusted that I saw was that happened that it feels like it usually does when you're on a magic show.

"How..How did you do that?" I ask impressed with eyes directed towards him. Michael just shrugs his shoulders.

"In every city there are always secrets..the key is that you only have to open your eyes to find those, right?".
