Chapter 6

THIS ONES LONGER HERE YOU GO!

I was back to school and we had a school meeting. All of the “Guardians”, as I was told they were, were on the stage. I looked up to be surprised. Kukai was up there. We went to the same school! He and his chara were wearing the same cape as Tadase and the rest of the Guardians. A smile crept up on my face just seeing Kukai. I caught his eye and smiled, he looked a little surprised but grinned back. I sat down and the assembly began.

I wasn’t really paying attention, but I giggled at the charas playing around on the stage. I found Daichi looking at me and winked at him. He stumbled in the air and looked surprised. I put a finger to my lips, signaling him to keep my secret. Kukai looked at him questionably, Daichi just shook his head. Kukai went back to the assembly, as did I.

Once it was over Kukai jumped down from the stage and landed on his feet. It sounded a few “Oooh”s from the few people left in the room. He ran up to me. “Hey, Yue! I didn’t know you went here.” I laughed, “You never asked.” He pouted “True.” Oh my god that was such a cute face! Ugh, I’m turning into a wussy teenage girl. Em laughed at my thoughts.

“How come I haven’t seen you before?” He asked “Oh, I’m new here. Today’s only my second day.” He smiled I could see an idea forming in his head. “Uh-Oh. I can see an idea forming in your head.” I faked being scared and ran in front of him. I turned around and faced him “So, what are you thinking about?” I asked

leaning forwards.

The wind came in through the windows and I looked outside, it was such a pretty day. The kind Lulu would have loved. A sad smile crept over my face and I turned back to Kukai “Are you okay?” He asked “Yeah, just remembered something. Nothing much really.” I replied. The bell rang “I’ll se you after school!” I ran off to my classroom and Kukai off to his.
