3RD PERSON POV
" Holy shit, this is good. " Gyeong-su said, his mouth full of spicy fried chicken, as his peers chattered around him.
The junior students were currently seated in the school cafeteria, digging through the bag of Cheong-san Chicken, which Cheong-san's mother had sweetly brought in for the hard-working teenagers.
I-sak slapped his shoulder playfully shooting him a glare. " You're going to choke on it if you keep doing that. " She scolded him, not thinking of her words prior.
Nari stared at I-sak holding in a laugh, the other friends simply stared at each other their shoulders starting to slightly shake until Nari burst out laughing, causing the others to laugh along startling half the students surrounding their lively table.
Suhyeok glanced from the lunch line staring at his former friend, a small smile appearing on his face as he stared at her positive and happy behavior. The memory of her beautiful smile he once saw every day quickly made his heart heavy as memories clouded his mind.

The two were once inseparable, whether it be daily sleepovers or meeting at the park, they were always together from the ages of three to fourteen when Lee Su-Hyeok first moved into the neighboring apartment complex.
They spent their afternoons sitting under the tree near the complex fountain, that one tree was the one place they could call their own.
From their names they carved into the ridged wood, the ribbons they tied onto the thin branches, and to the very first time Suhyeok had to guts to kiss her cheek on the night of the 6th year valentines dance.
Although, Hyosan high school separated this loving pair. They were pulled into different crowds like a current. It was all okay during freshman year, they stuck together. But once Suhyeok had found a not-so-good group of friends while playing on the school's basketball court, Nari was left to spend her days alone.
She would still try to keep in touch with him; she tried to convince herself that somewhere in her mind, Suhyeok and their relationship were still the same as it could ever be.
Gwi-nam and his friends instantly dragged Suhyeok into their clique. His athletic ability, attractive appearance, and admirable personality quickly deemed him likable to not only the group of boys but their entire 10th-year class, even some upper and lower-class men. He became known as the heartthrob of the school, and he didn't take this lightly.
Calls from Nari would ring on his phone every single night of school. At first, he would answer and just try to brush her off but as time went by later into their 10th year, the boy started to ignore the calls, blaming it on being busy when being asked about it the next day.
Soon, her contact " My Ari " and the photo he had taken of her when she was asleep on his chest, his blazer covering her body and her arms around his neck during freshman year was changed to " Mae-Nari " and a defaulted " M " as the contact picture.
