Your life was going overall nice for you. Having a single dad, he still managed to keep your family up float as a middle-class family. You manage to graduate from law school, getting your first ever job. The recent events of graduating from law school pushed back those hard feelings when your ex-girlfriend broke up with you. It was one toxic and hell of a relationship but it's nice to start something fresh, hopefully in Quantico, Virginia.
Soon enough you see yourself getting ready for your new job, fixing everything that is needed to be fixed in the mirror; your make-up, hair, the way your clothes sat on you. You were assigned as an intern at the BAU. But, you were way ahead of the other interns in training, they didn't have a place for you to go but to continue your training in the building with more experienced people. This also means older people around you, it's quite intimidating if you think about it. You chuckled at the thought. You looked perfect, your outfit wasn't too overdressed nor would it make a fool out of you.
You wore bootcut leggings with heeled boots that made you look taller. Being 5'6 those boots made you look very tall. You added on a knitted burgundy sweater which is perfect for the weather, which gets really cold in Virginia.
You grabbed everything you needed and headed to your car. The ride is a good 15-minute ride that isn't too far. As you were 2 minutes away you spot a very tall building. You make your way into the parking lot and enter the tall building.
You got in the elevator you heard someone screaming to wait. You see a hand slip in and a very pale man entering.
"Hi, yeah sorry," he said in an awkward tone.
"Yeah, it's alright. What floor are you heading to?"
"I'm heading to the fourth floor," he responded.
"Oh really? Me too. I guess because I'm new here you didn't recognize me," you let out a slight chuckle.
You pushed the button with the number four as the elevator door slowly shuts. "Oh, you're Y/L/N?" he asked.
"Yes! Y/N Y/L/N," you added.
"You went to Yale right?" he asked.
At this moment you were too stunned to speak. He notices your blank expression as he soon corrects himself.
"Oh, um, I didn't mean to scare you but you know, uh sometimes we do research on any new members of the BAU Behavioral Analysis Unit," he stated.
"Well, I'm Spencer Reid," he added.
Suddenly you felt a slight jolt as you knew you've reached the floor. You exit the elevator with Spencer following behind you. The first face you see was this beautiful brunette woman, your heart nearly skipped a beat. She looked at around 30 with bangs that hung just above her brows and medium to short hair.
"Emily Prentiss, nice to finally meet you," she shakes your hand with a warm smile. Her hands were soft and warm. The eye contact was long, rare, tension filling.
It was quickly interrupted when a cheery blonde woman came.
"Hey, hi! I'm so glad to finally meet you. I'm Garcia, Penelope Garcia." she cheerfully squicked, pulling you in for a hug.
"I'm Y/N Y/L/N, nice to meet you," you let out a slight chuckle. This woman can light up the whole room. You just feel so safe and happy around her.
You had met the team. You were quite fond of Penelope, she was as childish as you were and very funny. Rossi and Hotch just remind you of your dad who lives all the way in California, it's nice to have a father figure around here. JJ just seems so pure and sweet, reminds you of your older sister back at home.
This was quite a lucky day for you to say the least. We have a case.
We all met at the round table to debrief, Emily sat next to you.
"This case involves the murder of families. Victims would be tied up as the children would watch their parents get killed. There have been drugs found in the children's systems which could mean they were killed right after with some type of injections," Penelope presented.
We looked at the screens which showcased the bodies of the parents being brutally murdered and killed. They were being tied to a chair before being murdered and shot in the head.
"Looks like the parents were also willing to let them in and could be posing as someone hurt or as someone who works for a service," Spencer commented.
"Mhm, it also looks like they could be working in a group, possibly consisting of 2 or 3 people. It would be impossible to work alone and somehow manage to get them on the chairs and tie them without giving up a good fight," You added.
"Right, okay we'll talk more about this on the plane, wheels up in 20," Hotch said before quickly getting up and leaving.
