Beep beep beep
The annoying sound of my alarm went off. I jumped out of bed and went to my calendar. Today was the day.
My "birthday". You see no one knows really when I was born but we celebrate it on April 8th because that's when I was adopted. And today the Adoption Center contacted me and said they found who my mom is! I ran down stairs and got some breakfast. My mom is letting me skip school so I can meet my real mom. Once I got ready we got in the car and when to the Adoption Center. "Julie! You're so grown up! You look beautiful." Kate the girl who owns the Adoption Center said as she gave me a hug. "Kate! I'm really excited to meet my mom. Is she here?" I said as I looked around. Her face got serious. "Julie. Didn't you read the text I sent you?" She asked me. "Yes I read it...well most of it I was so happy you found her I had to tell Liz right away. Why? Is something wrong?" I asked her scared of what she was going to say. Kate paused almost as if she was stunned. "Sweetie. Maybe you should read it." My mom said. I took out my phone and pulled up the text and it read "Dear Julie,
I have good and bad news. First I'll tell you the good news. We've found who your mother is." I looked up. Kate told me to keep reading. "But you see the bad news is. She's gone. After she gave you to the orphanage she was going out with a man and things weren't good between them and he tried to kill her but he didn't. The police came and arrested him. She was alone and depressed and she wouldn't eat and she died in her sleep. I'm sorry."
