Chapter 25: Birthday

I woke up and shook Ava's shoulder.

'Baby! It's your birthday!'

I kissed her and she kissed me back with passion.

'Thank you baby'

'I'm going to make pancakes. Do you want them with Nutella or maple syrup?'

'Some with Nutella and some with maple syrup. Thanks' she said.

I made the batter and I was making the first one when I heard footsteps behind me. I decided to act like I didn't hear her and she jumped putting her arms around me.

'Boo!'

I laughed and gave her a peck.

'You're early. I'm making the first one'

'Don't worry. I'll set the table' she said.

I smiled. I knew she would be early and everything was going as planned.

Ava's POV

I went to the table and I saw a rose with a book on my place of the already set table. I opened the book and saw that y/n made a scrapbook with all the pictures we took together. In the first page, in the shape of a heart, there was a picture of our first kiss. The one Laurel took. The last page had a romantic poem and a sentence inside a heart.

'Happy birthday my love'

A tear ran down my cheek. It was so beautiful!

Y/n came with a plate full of pancakes and said:

'I see you found my present'

'It's so beautiful babe' I took the plate from her hands, placed it on the table and kissed her, putting my arms around her neck. She put her arms around my hip and kissed me back. Our tongues touched and we pulled away.

We ate our pancakes and y/n told me that she had the whole day planned but she wouldn't tell me anything so everything was a surprise.

First, we went to a small market. There was a tent where they made henna tattoos.

'I know you've been wanting to have a tattoo but you haven't decided yet because they're permanent. So, here I have the solution: Henna tattoos!'

We got matching tattoos and a cool design on the back of our hands to then go for a hike. We reached the top of a hill from where we could see all of Los Angeles and y/n took a picnic tablecloth and put it on the ground to then take all kinds of snacks and wine out.

We had a lovely picnic with awesome views and we laid down to stare at the clouds for a while.

'That one looks like a heart' I said.

'And those two look like two people kissing' she said.

I looked at her and when our eyes locked, I knew we had the same idea.

I leaned in and y/n did too. Our lips connected and I felt heat in my chest. y/n put more pressure in the kiss and my mouth opened. I slid my tongue inside her mouth and my tongue danced with hers. It felt as good as the first time. I tasted every bit of her mouth and we slowly pulled away.

We walked down the hill and went to the next venue. A roller rink. They put romantic music and all the couples rollerbladed together holding hands and slowly dancing. We ate some ice cream and went back to the rink. We fell several times but it was so much fun.

Then we went wine tasting.

'You said you liked it in an interview' she explained.

We tasted a lot of good wine and I bought a bottle.

'Time to go back home' she said.

'Already? It's just 5PM!' I complained.

'We have to go, baby' she insisted.

'Ok...'

We went back home and when I opened the door, my team, family and friends shouted:

'Happy birthday Ava!'

Your POV

Everything went exactly as planned. I took Ava to do outdoor activities so everyone could come, decorate the house with balloons, bring chocolate cake, presents...

We had a big party. We sang Happy Birthday both in English and Albanian and Ava blew the candles. We didn't even bother cutting the cake and ate it with spoons. It was so much fun!

Ava then opened presents and talked with family and friends to thank them individually. Then she talked to her team and her dancers. They even had a small choreo for Ava that they danced while everyone watched. There even was a photographer that took really cool pictures of everyone to post them on social media. Ava and I took a few pictures too for Instagram. We played some games and talked until it was time for everyone to leave.

Ava and I sat in her garden watching the sunset. We held hands and we shared a beautiful silence as the sun hid behind all the buildings in the skyline.

'I have one last gift' I said, hiding my hand behind my back.

Ava's POV

'I have one last gift'

'What is it?' I asked excitedly.

'Give me a kiss to find out' she said.

I rolled my eyes, giggled and gave her a kiss.

She put her hand on mine. Her fingers were tied with a bow.

'Tonight, my fingers are yours. You can make me do anything you want with them' she said.

A whole bunch of dirty thoughts came to my mind. I pulled the bow and it fell to the floor.

A/N: Sorry for interrupting such an intense scene but I'll leave that for the next chapter :)
