Living in New York can be everyone's dream until you actually start living there. Studying there while working  part time jobs can be very stressful! My jobs are kinda easy  though! I go to my classes and after that I go to my first job, McDonalds, yeah I know, worst job ever.

"You probably get free meals though right?" Nope -I said to myself- I don't always get free food. I start from 1 till 4 and after that I go to my next job, I work at a coffee shop, going around tables and taking orders. Did I mention I have to also clean the place after everyone leaves? And lock up!? Yeah well apparently no one likes the woman who own this place, they say she's crazy, and lots of people say this place will curse you if you work here! But other than that people don't mind coming to drink here. But obviously I don't believe in stuff like that.

I start this job from 4:25 and stay here till at least 10 pm.
It's also kinda dangerous knowing to work here in New York especially when your alone in the streets after 5pm. But it's okay, I need the money in order to continue studying.

My parents live in California, we had a massive fight about me coming here but in the end I won, although my parents were mad about the fact I wanted to study here out of all places. We had a modern house in California, and our lives were perfect! Money? We had it. Cars? We also had two of those. But since I wanted to study here, my parents said they wouldn't give me any money so that I learn my lesson for not listening to them.
I'm gonna prove them wrong though.

On the weekends I hang out with my one and only best friend. We met in freshmen year of college and have been best friends since then. Lola, is an open character type of person, very bold and brave, something I could never be with my social anxiety. She is an extrovert while I'm in introvert, and you can kinda already guess how we met.

She came up to me first complaining she didn't understand anything in our chem class. And then later on she came to me asking if I had any food to eat, and sooner later we became best friends I guess. She's very energetic and always wanting to party too! Can't count how many times she's asked me to go to clubs even when we had a quiz or test the next day.
We are in our junior year right now. So we just need one more year and we finish college.

Lola comes from a wealthy family, meaning they bought her a freaking huge house here other than the mansion they own back in Minnesota. Even though she's asked me to stay with her since her house is big I still declined. It's not anything against her really it's just that I wouldn't feel at ease or comfortable if I stayed at her place knowing she will be paying for everything.

Sighing I made a quick stop to my apartment to get my water bottle before going out practically running to my job.
Since I didn't have money, that also meant I didn't have a car.. yet.
As I got there I said hi to my co-worker before getting in place to take in any drive thru orders.

"Hello welcome to McDonalds what can I get for you today?"
"Can I get a large coke, and a ten piece nugget, with a medium fry?"
"Sure is that all?"
"Yeah"

I told him the price as I heard some laughter.
They sounded like a bunch of teens who would just ditch school just to go to illegal places.
As they arrived to the window I took the money and began taking out the change.

"Damn you look new here baby"
One of the guys in the back said, they looked younger than me, almost like high schoolers.
"No shit Sherlock"
My eyes widened at what I had said to him.
He looked back at me with shock as he started stuttering while his friends laughed their asses off,
"Oh my god, im so sorry  I didn't mean to say that"
