I Am In Trouble

It was a summer day, I could clearly hear the birds chirping early in the morning. As usual I was mischievously laughing and playing around Meet. Meet shouted ,"hey Mansika where do u think u are running to, ma'am is gonna come , let's go back." I immediately ran back to my seat as soon as I heard Miss Chitra's footsteps along two others coming towards me.

"Good morning students" Miss Chitra exclaimed. "Good Morning ma'am" all of us rhymed together. "Students today , two other students are gonna join us and we all need to include them and befriend them right ." "yes ma'am" students rhymed again . I was totally busy in playing with my imaginary eraser warrior fighting the strongest evil pencil man to save mother earth.

"Children introduce yourself to the class". "Good morning my name is Abhishek". "Now -Now Manik don't be a shy and introduce yourself child" I don't know why the name took my attention, "goodmorning everyone" a shy voice said, "my name is Manik Aggarwal."

I don't know whether his shinny ,shy eyes, pointed cute nose, perfectly symmetrical face , petal like lips or his hands were the reason I wanted Chitra ma'am to make him my sitting partner or I was just dreaming all this and was so mesmerized by his voice and charms that I totally forgot that the teacher was calling my name for last 2 minutes.

"MANSIKAAAAAA" Chitra ma'am shouted. "yes ma'am" "sorry ma'am" I said immediately coming out of my thaughts. "Manik's going to sit with you from now on got it ? " I just couldn't express what I felt In that moment, only god knows how hard I shouted my lungs out in my thaughts , although all that came out was ,"OKAY MA'AM"

Manik came and just sitted quietly besides me without a word. To my surprise the girl who couldn't sit still or stay quite for even 0.5 seconds didn't say a word and was plastered in her position for that whole period. Except for those milliseconds when she stole glances of the person who took away her breath.

This was the moment when she knew ,"I AM IN TROUBLE".
