Elan's POV
I'm so late, so, so late! I thought to myself as I ran to the school gate to meet my tour guide, as I ran, I saw an Orange Steve come into view, he called out to me, "Are you Sabre?"
I started to slow down as I got closer to him, "Yes." I said, out of breath.
"My name is Rude, and I'll be your tour guide or whatever."
He represents his trait well. Elan thought, his mother had taught him about the other Steves and Alexs and what their colours represent.
Red: They represent Wisdom, usually are found reading and are quiet people. They don't like being disturbed while researching or reading, which is most of the time.
Orange: They represent Creativity, and each Orange Steve/Alex represents a different trait, like my tour guide, he represents Rudeness. Except when the Orange Leader is chosen, they no longer represent their trait.
Yellow: They represent Energy and are very fast when it comes to physical activities. Are usually considered 'dim' when it comes to thinking logically, but this is a cruel stereotype in my opinion.
Green: They represent Health, are natural healers and most usually have an urge to rush to help if someone is injured. Usually introverts.
Blue (my colour): We represent Spirit, and we guard the world beyond. We are usually introverted, but that isn't the case for me- (usually)
Indigo: They represent Connection, as in the connection to the World Beyond. They live in a place called the 'Middle World', which is basically the gate to whether you come to the World Beyond to rest, or... another place. I haven't been told the name of said place, quote from my parents, 'You don't need to worry about it yet'.
Violet: They represent Love, most try to stay away from them because they think that the Violets just fall in love with whoever they see. But this is another stereotype, a harmful one at that.
"Hey! Stop daydreaming!"
I shake my head to wake myself up as I feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I notice that I have been self-consciously following him around the school.
"Were you even listening?" He asks, with a hint of annoyance. I decide I don't want to make him any angrier.
"Yeeeaaaahhhh." I say, hoping he doesn't notice the nervousness in my voice.
"Whatever. If you need to know where something is, ask someone else because this is not something I wanted to do." He glared at me again.
Why does he like glaring so much?
My wings ruffled as I clenched my fists.
"Whatever man, it's not like I wanted Grumpy Orange Steve as my tour guide." I snapped at him. Bad idea.
I barely had time to react as he shoved me against the lockers, which he happened to be showing me as we had our, ahem, 'disagreement'.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" He scowled. "'Cause I'll tell you who I am, I happen to be the oldest of the Orange Leader. Which is the only damn reason I haven't been expelled yet."
His orange eyes glared at where my eyes would be, if I wasn't wearing this blindfold. I sometimes hate how I have to wear a piece of stupid fabric over my eyes. Other times however, I like wearing this thing, because if this is guy found out why I wear this, I would be in trouble.
On another, less comfortable note, he was holding me tightly around my neck and I struggled to breathe. A stupid rumour about the Blues is that we don't need air to breathe, because we're quote unquote 'dead' already. This isn't true, we can just hold our breath for a prolonged period of time, longer as we get older. But for my age, we can only hold it for about 2 minutes.
And he's been holding me against the locker for about four.
"G- Get off o- of me." I growled, my halo's light dimming. When a Blue is angry/feeling negative, their halo's light dims.
He was using one hand to pin my neck against the locker, and the other to push my hands (which were clasped together) to my chest, so I couldn't use them.
Goddamnit! Why is his grasp so strong!? I guess I'm not the first he's done this to...
"I wonder what's underneath your blindfold?" He mused; I became breathless.
Literally.
I used my bodyweight to throw him off me, in pure desperation to breathe. When he was thrown back onto the floor, I gasped for air. My wings ached from the stiffness of being pushed against the lockers. I shook them out, and then ran up the stairs, I pushed past a few students and probably staff, I called out various "Excuse me"'s "Coming through!"'s and "Sorry!"'s. I hoped that no one would think much of it and just brush it off as a weird thing that happens every so often.
I ran straight into someone and knocked them over.
"What the!?-" They shouted, and I managed to catch myself before I fell, so I helped them up.
"I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to knock you over!" I said worriedly.
"What in the Overworld were you doing running in the halls young man!?"
Oh shoot.
It's the principal.
