Everything that happened was replaying in her head. It was all so shocking and terrifying – it was enough to make a grownup go crazy. Wujin grabbing her by the wrist and pulling her back; Cheongsan pushing Isak out the window; Onjo and herself reflexively grabbing their best friend's hands to keep her from falling to her death; and Cheongsan – Cheongsan shoving her down with a chair.

She stared at Isak's dead body for a second too long and she knew it was a mistake. Her body was now softly trembling as if she was cold. Memories of the time spent together with Isak naturally started playing in her head. Happy memories were replaying the way it did whenever she got home after spending time with her friends. Only difference now was that the image of Isak's bloody face was there with the memory.

The urge and desire to live started slipping out of her. She looked at the horde of living dead outside the class, then to the enormous field just right outside the window, filled with the same monsters. She then glanced at the window barricaded with tables and chairs.

Without thinking, Eunju ran to the window. Before her pair of legs even got anywhere near the semi-opened window, someone crashed onto her, resulting in both students plummeting to the cold floor.

"LET ME GO!" Eunju squirmed and thrashed under the boy.

"Hell no," the boy replied breathlessly; the look on his face told Eunju that he was shaken by the whole situation as much as she was.

"Don't you get it, idiot!? I just killed my best friend. MY BEST FRIEND!"

"That's no reason for you to die."

Anger and guilt still in control, she shoved Wujin away from her. She got up and ran once more, but this time, no one stopped her. Tears fogging her tired eyes, she ran until she hit the hard wall. Her legs no longer able to carry the weight of her body, she fell to the floor.

Wujin got to his feet and went after Eunju. Even though he's never seen any of his close friends die with his own eyes, he tried his best to understand the grief she felt after viewing the horror of her dear friend falling to her tragic death.

Wujin gently pushed his crush's head to his shoulders.

"I killed Isak," Eunju sobbed softly. A normal school day resulting in a friend's death only happened in books. It was almost impossible, since she, a normal stereotypical high school girl, was meant to live a normal life. A realistic one. Not a lead-character-in-a-scifi-book life. She wished that all this was just a bad nightmare, that she'd wake up to the oh-so-familiar ring of her alarm.

"You didn't. A zombie killed her." Wujin rested his head on top of hers in an attempt to comfort the poor mourning girl.

Her thoughts were going a hundred miles per hour.

Jung Eunju's head departed from Wujin's warm shoulders. She looked at all her friends. Onjo, Cheongsan, Namra, Suhyeok, Nayeon, Gyeongsu, Hyoryung, Jimin, Daesu and Joonyeong. She wasn't quite close to some of these people, but oh, how she wished no one would die again. Even the infuriating Nayeon.

Then she looked to her left. The girl has had feelings for the unfortunately oblivious boy for quite a long time now. She knew she'd never move on if he died.

"If you die, I'll kill you," she told Wujin, wiping the tear stains from her blood-covered cheeks.

"Ahh! How scary!" Wujin exclaimed with a fearful facial expression, mocking the now grinning girl.

"But really, don't worry. I won't die. I promise."

He hugged Eunju rather awkwardly before walking towards his two best friends, trying his hardest to hide his stupidly flustered face.
