The room around her was dark as Chiaki's fingers clicked away at her controller. She hadn't been gaming for a while so she needed a 3 am gaming session. Her TV was the only thing lighting up her room so her eyes were squinting at the screen. Then she heard a 'ping!' behind her. She turned around as she paused her game and grabbed her phone with a yawn. It was Owari.
Owari: u up?
Nanami: What are you doing awake so late?
Owari: I should be asking you that!
Owari: Anyway, Gundham just posted on Instagrahmcracker. He said he's hosting some sorta party a few days from now. He says it's time for his hamsters, "To complete another astral quest"
Nanami: Does that mean it's the Deva's birthday party?
Owari: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Owari: I think we should go. It'll give us more time for both of us to think up hobby ideas for you or somn'
Nanami: That might be a good idea.
Nanami: Wait, why is Gundham posting party invitations to the school at 3 am?
Owari: I don't think anyone in our class gets sleep.

At school the next morning Nanami could hear people asking Gundham about the party he was hosting. But all she could think about was Owari. Since she was texting her different hobby ideas to try and get her to pick one. She seemed to be really focused on finding her a hobby even though she stated her objective was to prove she thought Chiaki should get back into athletics with her and Nekomaru. It was pretty odd. But then again, Akane was a pretty odd girl. She was stubborn, aggressive, hot-headed... Wait, I think those all mean the same thing. Anyways, she could be a lot to handle sometimes. But she is committed and has a pure heart. In all honesty, Chiaki didn't know much about her otherwise. They never really hung out much together other than recently. They didn't have much in common.
So maybe now would be a good time to learn more about her.
She continued thinking as she sipped on her lukewarm coffee sitting at her desk. Trying to keep herself awake after her 3 am gaming session last night.
"Hey, Nanami-Chan!!!" She recognized Ibuki's sing-songy voice as she seemingly popped out of nowhere. "Will you be going to Tanaka-chan's party?" Mioda asked while she lay her head on Chiaki's desk.
"Yep! I can't refuse to attend the Dark Deva's birthday party," said Chiaki.
"Oooh, that's who the party's for! I can't understand Tanaka-chan's cryptic language sometimes," Ibuki said while pouting.
Chiaki laughed, "His words are puzzling sometimes aren't they?"
Mioda raised her head off Chiaki's desk, "Your Gamegirl's not fixed yet? You aren't using it."
"It should be fixed in a week or two, right around the beginning of winter. I busted it pretty bad haha."
"Aww, I hope they're okay! You two were really close!" Ibuki said before skipping out of the classroom, ending the conversation there.
Did she just refer to my console as a person?
Okay, scratch that, Ibuki is odder than Akane.

It was the night of the party and Chiaki and Akane were walking to Tanaka's house at 9:00 on a Friday night where it was already dark outside. Carrying a tiny gift bag for the Deva's since Gundham said to bring gifts. It carried a hamster-sized popcorn machine. The shopkeeper said it functioned like a real one but she wasn't sure if that was true.
