The Alpha and Her King

Chapter 2

Sophia woke the next morning to the sound of the shower running. She noticed immediately that Alex was not lying next to her. She stood next to her bed and walked to the bathroom. Alex was in the shower. Sophia saw Alex was in the shower and blushed. "I am so sorry! The door was unlocked, so I just walked in."

Alex smiled at the flustered look on Sophia's face. He waves her over to the shower and looks her up and down. "Would you like to join me? There is plenty of room in here for the both of us." Sophia hesitates. She thinks for a moment, then quickly undresses and steps in the shower with Alex.

She looks into Alex's eyes and realizes how tall he is when she has to look up at him. Alex lowers  his head and gently kisses Sophia. He smiles at her. She just stands there, looking into his eyes. She has to incline her head to look at his face, and her face gets all wet.

Alex clears his throat and Sophia comes back to  reality. "Would you like me to wash your hair? Or would you rather do it yourself?" Sophia thinks about Alex's offer for a short moment, then nods excitedly. She shoves her shampoo towards him. "You wash it, please!" She smiles a child-like smile. Alex just chuckles at her enthusiasm and squirts some of Sophia's shampoo along with some of his own and massages it into her hair.

After their shower, Sophia gets dressed in a pretty summer dress and goes to the cafeteria for breakfast. She gets pancakes and bacon with some eggs and OJ. She and Alex sit together in the back corner of the cafeteria. Sophia eats her breakfast slowly, all the while staring into Alex's beautiful blue eyes.

After breakfast, Sophia takes Alex and several other wolves, including Carson (duh), on morning border patrol. On the Northern border, she spots a border patrol from Purple moon. She is curious at to why the are so close to the border line and calls them over. She asks them why they are so close to the border line and Mason, the beta from Purple Moon, answers her question.

"The Blue Moon pack has been threatening us, and they almost attacked last night. But Carlos heard that they want to attack Orange Moon first." Sophia's patrol is confused as to whom  Carlos is. 'He is the Alpha from Purple Moon, duh!' Sophia said through the pack link.

When Sophia and her patrol return home, she looks for her brother Marcus. When she finds him, she tells him what she heard from Mason. "Wait, who told you this?" Marcus asks, bewildered. Sophia shifts her weight to her left foot. "I was on border patrol and saw a Purple Moon patrol. Mason warned me of the attack that Blue Moon is planning on our pack. We need to be on our guard at all times.

So, I know this was a shorter chapter, and I haven't updated in a week or so. I just needed to get this uploaded. I'm sorry for the cliffhanger, but if you want to find out what happens, I'll post chapter 3 as soon as I can!
