Walk to the castle

I went outside to look for Sirius, my hair was still damp and the wind was blowing it back, drying it. The stands were empty, but some students were still hanging around the stadium. I saw Sirius and McGonagall talking just behind some stands. They both looked a bit worried. They saw me coming over and stopped talking, just looked at me and smiled.

"Hey, dad." I stood beside him.

"Hey, sweety, we were just finishing talking. Are you ready?"

"Yep."

"Thank you, Minnie, we have to go."

"Be safe, bye!"

We started walking back to the castle.

"I'm sorry," I put my head down, trying to hold back my tears.

"It's ok, just tell me what he said."

"He... he... called you and Remus some stuff."

"What? What stuff did he say."

"He... called you a nancy."

"Oh, for God's sake, that idiot, please you know I don't care what other people call me. I know that you do, but that bastard, he didn't even deserve your attention."

"He called Rem a poof and said that..."

"Oh Christ, what else did he say?"

I couldn't hold my tears anymore. "He said that creatures like him don't deserve to live," I fell right into Sirius' arms.

He embraced me tightly and didn't let go. "Hey, listen to me, I know much it hurts to hear that about the people you love most. I'm proud that you punched him, I'm not mad. If he says things like that again you have my full permission to punch him again. Minnie mentioned that he said something horrible, but I didn't think it was that bad. I'm really sorry."

I was full-on crying, trying to catch my breath. "I love you," was all I said.

"I love you too. Let's go home now, have fun with pops, bake something together and we can all cuddle. Does that sound good?"

I nodded and Sirius wiped the tears off my face. We walked to McGonagall's office to use her fireplace and travel with Floo Powder.
