CHAPTER 3

Y/n POV

'Why is he acting like this? He's normally so dry what the hell has gotten into him, I want my fine ass monotone man back' I thought, continuing to try and avoid eye contact. "I know this might be a weird question but, do you currently like anyone?" Nanami asked before taking a sip of champagne.I sat there shocked for a second before I had to collect my thoughts to answer."It's not that weird I just never expected you to be interested in that type of thing but to answer yes I do like someone." I said finally finding the courage to look him in the eyes again. "Hmmm~ that's nice. Would you like to tell me who this man or woman you like is?" He asked, making me nervous again. 

"Uh- no but you might be able to find out soon." I said gaining the smallest bit of confidence ever. "Oh how so~?" He said looking at me while taking a sip of champagne. "You'll have to wait and see~." I said looking him straight in the eye. I started to sip my champagne thinking about my big surprise to Nanami. I looked around at all the people in the room and analyzed their outfits and food. We sat in silence for a minute until the waitress came back. "Here's your food." She said, putting my food in front of me and then Nanami's in front of him. "Thank you." We both said at the same time.

I looked at my food and thought to myself,' This shit look good as fuck but nasty at the same time'. I started to eat my food and I actually liked it surprisingly. I looked at Nanami and saw that his food looked better than mine. I continued to eat until I realized it was nasty. I spit it out and pushed it away from me. Nanami looked up at me and said," What's wrong?". "My food tastes nasty, ugh why didn't I get what I also do." I said, Nanami then gave me his plate. "Uh, what was that for, it's your food not mine." I said giving the food back. "I'm just gonna order something else." I said, and the waitress came over just then.

"Are you both good?" She asked, looking at us with a smile. "Um well I don't really like my order. Can I have something else?" I said, in the nicest tone that I can say it in. "Yes, sorry that you didn't like it, what did you want instead?" She said, picking my plate up. "Can I get an order of grilled salmon with tapenade sauce?" I asked, smiling. "Sure, I'll bring it to you once it's done. I'll also take your old order off the bill." She said, smiling. I nodded and then she left with my plate.

Once I was finished eating me and Nanami got up and left sense he had paid while I was eating. We went out to his car and he opened the door for me and then got in himself. One the drive home I felt him staring at me from time to time but I just ignored it. He pulled up in front of my house and I opened the door to get out. Before grabbing my purse I gave him a kiss on the cheek then hurried. I got my stuff and ran inside but I failed cause I dropped my keys and he got to me before I could go inside. We got inside and I took him to the living room. I sat on the couch with him next to me. "Can I ask you something?" I said, turning my head looking at him.

"Sure, go ahead." He said in return. "Were you staring at me in the car?" I asked, and I saw nanami's face turn a light shade of pink, well just his ears but I saw it. "What if I was?" He said. "Well then I wouldn't mind. Next time don't stare that hard." I said, pinching his cheek making him grab my wrist to make me stop. He looked at his watch and saw it was now around 10pm. "We have work tomorrow and I still have to drive home." He said, Starting to get up. "Ok, well drive safely. See you at work." I said, getting up and following him to the door. He opened it and before he could walk out I grabbed his arm making him stop.
