FNAF Security Breach - Future Arc

Prologue - Vanessa is Free

Gregory looked away from the arcade cabinet that said "ERROR" on the screen, he had just beaten the final level in Princess Quest III. He immediately noticed that all of the bots Vanny was using to catch and attack him had been deactivated, they all laid lifeless on the floor. With a gasp he saw that Vanny's bow and mask were on the ground as well. Gregory ran with a bag in hand carrying Freddy's head, as fast as he could, to the entrance that had now opened. Then, he suddenly stopped looking slightly frightened, because Vanessa stood right by the doors. But to his surprise, she opened the doors and motioned to him to come out.

"Freddy... Something is different about her suddenly, all the robots stopped working, the bunny mask was just on the floor, and now Vanessa isn't rushing at me..."

Freddy smiled and said, "I think playing those games did something to not only stop the robots, but it stopped Vanny too."

Gregory started to move towards Vanessa slowly with hesitation. Vanessa with a worried look sighed, "Gregory I am sorry for everything tonight, I couldn't do much to stop it, I wasn't me.. I know its going to be hard but could you learn to trust me?"

Gregory nervously asked, "Will you help put Freddy back together?"

Vanessa without doubt replied, "Yes of course! I know he means a lot to you."

There was a pause, Vanessa realized something, "Hey... Do you have anywhere to go?"

Gregory looked away and down. "No... I don't. I came in here for food and some shelter from the rain the other day, but then.. All this happened and.."

Gregory then realized what he said, "OH! P-please don't take me to an orphanage! I don't want to go back there.." He started to tear up.

Vanessa bent down to his level and hugged him. "Gregory, you've been through so much today and I had no idea you were..."

There was silence and they hugged. Vanessa stood up, "Let's go get some icecream and I will keep you safe."

These words resonated with Gregory because they were words that Freddy consistently said to him.

Later on that day, all three of them sat on a hill, Vanessa and Gregory were enjoying their icecream as Freddy's head sat between them. They all watched the sun continue to rise, the rays from the sun felt gentle and warm on their skin, a comfort they all needed in this moment.

A few weeks past and Vanessa got a new place and job to sustain Gregory, and to save money to repair Freddy. Gregory and Freddy got their own rooms, Gregory was enrolled in school, and they ate together for every meal, like a family. Vanessa figured that Gregory needed this kind of thing since he never had a family, but deep down, Vanessa wanted this as well, family.

She didn't want to immediately tell Gregory everything about the one who was controlling her. Gregory had already been through enough trauma, she wanted to fill his mind with happy memories for some time before telling him about Burntrap.

But eventually, after a few months, she sat Freddy's head down, and called Gregory into the kitchen to talk.

Vanessa told Gregory about William Afton, and how he is now Burntrap. How he is a virus, an immortal being who fused with a spring-lock animatronic, using the souls of children and remnant to stay immortal. And, using agony to control the animatronics to continue to murder innocent youth. (this is my headcanon) She told him what he needed to know, and afterwards, Gregory, with a depressed and pained look, turned to Freddy.

"I.. What have I done?" He looked down. "Your friends really were programed to not harm anyone." He looked off with fire and anger in his eyes, "....it was a real, truly evil monster that turned them."

Freddy looked at Gregory with sympathy, "My superstar, we did not know that was what was happening to them, you are not at fault for fighting against them, you had to protect yourself."

There was silence for a while, then Gregory looked up at Vanessa with determination.

"Will you teach me about animatronics when you rebuild Freddy?" Vanessa looked confused, "I mean of course, but why?"

Gregory said, "I don't think we should ever go back to the Pizzaplex, after all we've been though, but I can't live knowing those animatronics are being forced against their will to hurt kids. They were made to bring kids joy, and I want to find a way to save them, by maybe building animatronics, to save Freddy's friends. After what I did to hurt them, its the least I can do for our family."

Freddy and Vanessa admired Gregory's heart, as they started to feel the same, they couldn't go back, but they couldn't leave it all behind. Vanessa agreed to teach Gregory everything she knew about building animatronics, and Gregory would spend the next couple of years studying as much as he could.
