E P I G R A P H :

"You are imperfect.

Permanently and inevitably flawed.

And you are beautiful."

- Amy Bloom

S Y N O P S I S :

In the eyes of her classmates, Merci Holland carries herself with an intense sense of confidence. Always smiling, always walking with her head held high. She's something to be envied.

In her eyes, Merci is a basket case. Raised in a household where perfection is stressed, she can't help but feel inferior. Sure, she hides behind a mask in public but, behind closed doors, she can barely look in the mirror without feeling disgust.

That is, until what appears to be the embodiment of perfection shows up on her doorstep and decides to push her passed her breaking point. Just like that, Merci is flung onto a path where she's forced to question the difference between right and wrong, relive her very first heartbreak, and accept the imperfection of, not only herself, but those around her.
