some people say that the flowers will remind us why the rain is so necessary.

bullshit. no amount of rain will ever prove your newly-grown garden to be beautiful. can something truly be beautiful when it kills you?

the beat of your heart suddenly shifts, for all the wrong reasons. the first time he caused a shift to the beat of your heart, he made it upbeat. and for the longest time, you danced and danced and danced to the rhythm your heart made when you were around him. you danced for as long as the song lasts.

your heart would race over his little embarrassed tantrums everytime he would show you affection.

'it's okay to admit that you love me, bakugou.' teasing him is fun.

'me? love you? fuck off, you think i'm cringe?' he's so defensive everytime.

'yes, i think you're very cri-'

'your mom's cringe.'

that's funny. totally not like he made a giant heart with your initial hidden in a desert biome in the bakusquad's minecraft server while everyone was away.

'you literally made me a giant heart,' you remind him.

'no i didn't. even if i did, i wouldn't do it for you.'

'who is it for then?' you ask him.

'..you.' he looks away. 'loser.'

doki doki

and now

it's

ending.

the melody that was so gentle yet wild became one that was morbid. one that just keeps fucking you over and over and over again. but is it strange that you don't care? you don't care how badly it will fuck you over, you just don't want it to end.

spring is your favourite season. it's the prettiest season of all, afterall. having it last all year round within you isn't so bad.

so you don't care. you won't care.

it's okay, darling. winter just started and the days are colder. you don't like winter so i'll make sure spring lasts till the end of my time.

lies.

the thought of having to look at him after what you saw is terrifying.

will he know that you know? will he end it once he knows? questions kept running through your head but in the end, you only have one answer for all of them.

i don't care as long as i still have you.

i'll keep quiet for as long as i have to so please,

love me like you used to.

almost there

you grab a pan and boil some water needed for your noodles. you've always loved noodle nights with him. it was a simple part of your week that you've always looked forward to.

something about eating your favourite meal with your favourite person made such a simple thing so wonderful.

you hear your door open and there he is.

right in front of you.

'hello.' he smiles  at you so innocently. and fuck, if you didn't know any better you'd feel so happy seeing his face smiling at you.

'hey!' you smile back. 'the noodles are ready, come sit.'

he sits down and you set the table, serving the two big bowls of spicy noodles.

he starts to eat their noodles as they watch the korean drama you've put on the television.

'here,' he grabs a handful of their noodles with his chopsticks and transfered it to your bowl. he's always done that. he knows how much you love noodles and always gives you a bit of theirs so you can have a few more to enjoy.

and you've always loved that about him.

except right now, you can't help but wish that he washed hismouth with soap till it was all bubbly. it wasn't clean.

the extra bit of noodles placed on your plate was tainted by his chopsticks which touched his mouth where they let another's tongue in. and you were there to witness it all.

you don't feel like eating anymore.

suddenly, you start coughing violently and you hear him ask, 'love, are you okay?'

bakugou learned to call you sweet names when no one was watching. he would never admit that he was whipped enough to call you love.

'i'm oka-,' you try to respond but your bark-like coughs stop you from doing so.

'did you choke on your noodles again?' he asks as they reach you a glass of water. 'bruh, i told you to be more careful nerd.'

you feel something come back up from your throat and land on your tongue, quickly running to the bathroom to spit it out.

with a few red bits dripping down your bathroom sink, you did not care much. the noodles you ate were so spicy, they were almost red.

what came after those few drops was what caused your heart to drop.

it was a bunch of flower petals; gardenias, his favourite.

it's already started. you look down at the sink, in denial. you didn't want to admit that the petals were a sign of how little time you have left.

i can't let you know. i can't let it end so i won't let you know.
