It was a winter evening at 9 pm. Stranded had read an online book to inspire herself to write when she received an e-mail. It was a friendship request.
"I have read your poems on Wattpad"- the sender's name was Keans - "I want to know you as a friend if you don't mind."
That was the communication start of Stranded's new and numerous online's acquaintances.
At first, Keans spoke friendly and said he was a famous actor. Stranded knew he was not, but he had spoken very well. The topics they talked about were interesting. His curiosity toward her life outside the boring questions such as "How old are you," "Where are you from," and "Are you married" seemed genuine.
But if everything seems too good, it is usually like that and unreal -the feeling of being deceived. At first, the conversations were interesting and deep. After some time, Keans became obssesive. He and Valery had many common interests or it seemed like that. When the banality came into their communication, Stranded understood that something is amiss. The small voice in her head told her Keans is different from the other online cheaters who wanted to receive money from the women they spoke to.The difference here was he started to chat with Stranded on video and after some time he told he is inloved and wanted daily video talks. She couldn't provide him with that because of her busy schedule and asked if he wants both of them to make a routine weekly to spend time online and eventualy plan a date when they meet in person. Then Keans started to step backwards, saying he has no time and works on project in a commune.
Stranded understood he is a cheater, but continued to play dead. After three weeks their conversations became empty and he asked her once "Can you send me money to pay my taxes?"
It was end of story for Stranded and online talking with strangers.
