"W-what?"
Vanessa asked in shock, gripping her hat tightly as her eyes followed the person. The man sighed, clasping his hands in a professional manner.
"I said what I said, miss Vanessa. We would love to have them back in our family." He answered half-sternly.
She gulped her excitement, her nails digging in the hat. She couldn't suppress down her grin at the news. The man behind the desk smiled at the reaction- grabbing some folders filled with documents under his desk.
"Y/n might have been a temporary worker in the 'plex, but they have shown some potential while in their shift. Including hyping up Bonnie on his shows despite his- well, condition."
He cleared his throat, unsure why he had brought up past troubles. Everyone has forgotten about it, he hopes. And he saw progress when weeks passed by, until you came up and speed up his recovery.
"What I'm really trying to say is, we would appreciate it if they become a real member of the family, not temporary, but to work here as long as they please."
She seemed hesitant at first, before letting out a question.
"How about an interview, sir? Do they need one?"
He clicked his tongue in response as he opened the folder, flipping through numerous papers until grabbing a single file. "Well, they already have a record in the pizzeria,"
Presenting the paper in hand, it wrote the times you have clocked and signed in, "we only need some background information about them, including birth certificate, ID's and passport- y'know? A clarification if they exist or not."
She winced mentally at what he mentioned. For some reason, you claimed that you have lost everything you have- that a sibling burned your birth certificate, lost your ID in a party somewhere, and that you have been robbed.
Though she is curious why you haven't made a new one, she won't pry. It was your decision, but it was a big hassle when it comes to applying for jobs.
The sound of paper slapping the desk interrupted her thoughts, followed by a sigh.
"I currently can't call someone to interview them, seeing that I have some paperwork to do." He pinched the bridge of his nose, stressed from all the complaints the company has.
"So, I trust you that you will do the job. Convince them to apply and interview them."
She was relieved at the order. Maybe- just maybe, she can pull some strings.
"How about their job, sir? If they agreed to join, what will they work with?"
He hummed in thought, returning the documents in the drawer.
"We don't have any spots suitable for them yet, but I assure you that it'll be a valuable one- just like them."
Just the thought of you working in the same building excites her. You can finally keep up with her, bonding, talking, and all those friendship stuffs- unlike at home where she sleeps all day from sleep deprivation.
The only problem is, will you have the same night shift as her?
She gave a compliant nod, straightening her back and shoulders as a sign of manner and respect. Looking at her posture, he was satisfied.
