" Mary, it's getting late. Do you want me to bring you home?" John said.
Mary's father was transferred to another room which is bigger than the former room in which her father was confined. Mary was lying on a sofa near her father's bed. John approached her and saw that she had fallen asleep and was waking up due to his approach.
"Actually," Mary said as she tried to open her eyes." I was about to wait for my mother here so we could stay with my father, how about you? aren't you going home yet?"
"Well maybe later. I want to stay here with you until your mother arrives so I could meet her; if that's okay with you."
"You gave us a huge favor. And it would be a shame if I deprive you of that little request, of course you can stay and I'm sure my mother would be delighted to meet you."
The two then continued telling each other about their lives. John noticed that Mary was still wearing her uniform.
"Is it really necessary that you should wear your uniform even until after work? John asked.
"Well, no. It's just that the events were just so fast that I didn't even had the chance to change my clothes."
