Chapter 2

I managed to make it through the first half of my classes without dying of boredom. Now I finally got to eat lunch, I'm starving after I missed breakfast this morning. When I get to the lunch I look out for my friends and find them sitting with someone I've never seen before.

"Casper your finally here, let me introduce you to the new girl," Jane says motioning me to sit down.

The blonde girl looks at me and introduces herself, "my names Ember."

"Nice to meet you Ember why did you move here in the middle of the school year?" I ask. Usually people tend to move schools in the beginning of the year or the start of the second semester.

"Well I can't really control when and where my parents move," she chuckles.

I mentally face palm, of course she can't, "oh right, that makes sense."

"Yeah my dad made us move down her from Washington," Ember says.

"Really?! Damn you must be hating this California weather then huh," I remark.

"Yeah it's different but I actually don't mind the sun, it's better than it raining every day. I can actually go out and do things here, I used to live in a super small town and there was nothing fun to do there. Also everyone was super homophobic there so I'm glad I got to get away from that school," Ember explains.

"Wait so that means your gay right?" Oliver asks.

"Oliver it's kind of rude to asks people that," Jane scolds him.

"What no it's not I literally couldn't care less if someone asks me that," Oliver replies.

"Yeah that's because you are gay, so of course you wouldn't care," Jane snaps back.

"Listen Jane in this day and age your gay until proven straight," Oliver states.

I sigh, here we go again. It is not something new for them to fight like this. They do this everyday like last week they fought over whether Shawn mendes was gay or not. Jane believed that he couldn't possibly be gay since he is dating Camila Cabello but Oliver thought otherwise. Since he is gay himself he claimed that he has a sixth sense for this kind of thing. Their fights never last that long though they pretty much get over it and forget about what they were even arguing about in the first place. They aren't related what so ever but they act pretty much like a brother and sister would.

"Umm I am gay though," Ember intervenes.

"See what did I tell you, it's my sixth sense," Oliver says pointing at his third eye.

Jane rolls her eyes, "whatever floats your boat."

"Anyways, anything interesting happen to any of you guys today?" Jane asks.

I was about to bring up the girl that I met today but Oliver decided to share a much more interesting story.

"So you guys know who Donny Murks is right?" Oliver asks.

"Yeah he's the football teams quarter back," Jane replies.

Donny is our schools best quarter back, he's a buff senior that pretty much all the popular girls try to get with.
