"I've said it before, and I'll say it again." An angry Dean grunted as he slammed the impala door shut, sitting still for a moment and finishing his statement. "I hate witches." The engine grumbled as he started the car. "Why can't they all just be like Sabrina? I mean, they're evil sons of bitches. Freaky."

"Of all the things we've seen, I don't understand how witches are the ones that get you whiled up the most." Sam Winchester added, halfheartedly, as he scanned a local school's yearbook from 1942.

"Seems like it is who we thought. The principle from Downy High." Sam continued as Dean drove them away from the library and back to the shabby motel they've called home for the past three days. "Looks like she was a teacher there back in '42. And unless she has some miracle anti-aging regimen, she shouldn't look exactly the same."

"Wait, so she was a teacher too? At the same school? Don't you think someone would've noticed?" Dean questioned.

"Her name in this yearbook is Margret Kain." Sam responded. "Doesn't she go by Alexandria Norwood now? And who knows, she could've disappeared for a time. It's a big town. Doubt they keep a close eye on things like this. Who would?"

Dean made a sharp turn, parking in front of their room. "Well that would explain the missing kids all coming consistently from the same school. And they were all known for starting trouble. No wonder there isn't much acting up there." Dean shrugged. "Would hate to have her as a teacher."

Sam chuckled very shortly, closing the yearbook as both him and Dean got out of the impala and headed to their hotel room.

"Yeah..." Sam hesitated. "I'm still not sure why Cas sent us on this case though. It just seems like another hunt to me."

"Eh," Dean murmured, unlocking the door. "Who knows why Cas does anyth-"

"Hello, Dean. Hello, Sam." Castiel greeted the two brothers in the motel room, Dean nearly jumping ten feet off the ground.

"You really gotta stop that." Dean rubbed a hand over the back of his neck.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. I was just curious if you've found the missing teenagers yet." Castiel mentioned, sternly, seeming very interested in how the case was going.

Sam and Dean both looked at Castiel, seeming to question his motives. Sam glanced at Dean to see if he was going to answer. He did.

"No, but we know "who done it" now." Dean began, plopping down at the foot of a bed. "It's also been 3 kids every few years. There's only two missing right now, which means Winifred will probably strike again soon." Dean said, referencing Hocus Pocus. "We just came back to stock up before smoking her."

Cas looked at him with the same, unmoving expression. "Good. That's good."

Dean rolled his eyes and Sam stepped forward. "What's your deal with this anyways? Why'd you send us here?"

"There is someone you two needed to protect." Castiel started, stumbling over his words.

"Who?" Dean spoke up.

"Dean, I'm not sure how you will handle this yet."

"Really, Cas?" Dean snorted. "What could you possibly be worried about? You can't keep things from me very long."

This seemed to offend Cas, as there was a break in his glare. "Well, I was able to keep this from you for nearly 18 years." He retorted, unintentionally.

Sam tilted his head for a quick second. "Cas..." He said. "Are you saying..."

Dean got up from where he had been seated on the motel bed. "He better not be."
