Chapter 1 (Edited)

Your POV

You are immediately greeted with the usual rush of people as you step into the airport, glancing around at your surroundings in curiosity. "Y/N, I'm going to go get some food. What do you want?" Madi, your best friend, questions as she flips chocolate curls over her shoulder.

"I'm going to die if I don't get a drink. Preferably Lemonade." You declare. Madi chuckles, nodding as she hands you her bags and grabs her wallet

"Hold our spot, it's my shout!" She chirps, making her way through the crowd. You let out a soft sigh, adding your friends bag to your pack and finding a seat, stretching out in exhaustion after the long taxi drive.

Madi returns within 15 minutes, holding a cheeseburger in her mouth and a lemonade in her hand. She hands it to you with a smile, before continuing to eat her burger with a smile

"Thanks." You declare, shoving her bag towards her. She shrugs, her light blue eyes eyes falling to the screen.

"We're boarding in a minute." She declares, watching you drink the last of your lemonade with your record speed. "C'mon Y/N." She grabs your hand and tugs you towards where your plane was being boarded.

You step off the plane, clutching her bag quietly. England greets you with towering buildings, and hundreds of people. A grin stretches across your face.

"HELLO ENGLAND!" You shout with renewed determination, sending Madi a grin. She returns it, leading the two of you outside where she calls a taxi.

Your new apartment is a reasonable size, with two bedrooms and a small kitchen. You both immediately dump your bags in the two bedrooms, which both are a freshly-painted white. You take a note to paint it F/C.

The two of you explore London, stopping outside a small icecream parlor. Madi turns to you, an excited look on her face. "LEGGO!" She declared loudly, dragging you into the store.

"I'm ordering and your paying!" You declare loudly, chuckling and heading up the counter. "I will have three scoops of (Favourite Ice-cream Flavour) with (Favourite Topping) and this chic will have 3 scoops of chocolate, with chocolate sprinkles!"

Madi gives you a mischevious grin. "You know me so well, my darling Y/N!" She chuckles. You snort, poking your tongue at her and handing her the chocolate icecream, that you immediately nicknamed the DEATH CONE.

"I don't know why you just don't have Chocolate... Chocolate icecream is the best!" Madi declares, attempting to shove the entirety of her cone down her throat. You wince, turning away at the mess your friend made as you strolled down the street.

"You consume so much chocolate I'm surprised you haven't melted." You declared after a moment. "Also, is it illegal to marry an icecream?"

The surrounding people give you a weird look but you ignore them in favour of waiting for Madi's reply. She thinks for a moment before finally replying.

"I don't know, google it?"

You roll your eyes, as they land on a small pet-shop. Pressed against the window are two cocker spaniel puppies. You let out an excite squeal and tug on Madi's shirt.

"WERE ALLOWED PETS, RIGHT?" You yell. Madi nods, dumping the remnants of her death cone in the trash and stepping inside. The puppies stare with bright eyes and you sigh happily, tapping on the glass softly. Madi wanders off to talk to the staff about the adoption, and you admire them.

"Apparently they are siblings, a female and a male for $200." Madi grins. "Lets totally get them."

"Definitely. I'll go get toys and food." You whistle happily, grabbing a basket and adding puppy food, a large bowl for water and two smaller food bowls, a ball and squeaking bone as well as a tug toy.

You settle the dogs in, watching them for a moment. "What the hell do we name them?" You ask after a moment, sending Madi a glance. She hums, attaching small collars around their necks. "I think we should name the boy... Thor."

"And the girl, CANDY!"

You let out a wild laugh. "Of course. Perfect choice, Madi." Thor let outs a yap happily, rubbing himself again your legs. You hum softly, allowing him to sniff your hand for a moment, and enjoying your new life in London.

Hey, this is the edited version of Chapter one, with basic editing that doesn't affect the plot to an extent, as the chapter contains the same actions as the previous unedited chapter, asides from less shouting and crazy attitude from the reader and Madi. If you would  like to include something from the previously edited version, please ask.
