3rd person pov w/the parents

King Pine heaved a sigh as he sat down in his green and gold velvet throne as a middle-aged women with caramel colored tresses, dark chocolate eyes, and a flowing lavender dress with little flowers embroidered on the hem. "Lavender," the King greeted his wife curtly, before looking back at a red covered book which he'd picked up and was now flipping through absentmindedly. "Oh dear what has Rosie done this time?" Lavender asked, hoping Rose had just been a bit too wild again instead of accidentally poisoning the royal flocks of sheep as she had when she was 8 or so because they 'wanted to eat the pretty pink flowers in the garden' (foxgloves) and she had been only giving them a tasty treat for being so cute and fluffy. Pine heaved another sigh. "Well ha where shall I begin! The girl won't get married and you know it's the law to be wed by 16 and a week when you're a princess in elderberry wood, her birthday's in a week and if she doesn't except a suiter soon I'm afraid I'll have to pick for her but I don't want to do that, she'd hate me for it!" "Now, now, dear. We should give her another chance to choose a groom before it comes to that. What about a masquerade or a party on her birthday? It'll be perfect and then that still leaves a week for the wedding." Lavender suggested, as she loved planning parties especially masquerades since at one she'd met Pine who was in her opinion the finest (most stubborn) man on earth. "What would I do without you?" He asked, kissing Lavender tenderly on the lips. "Endure, now onto the party, there's much to do, invitations to send out tarts to make..." her voice trailed off as she whisked out of the room to go prepare for the due party.
