"Your joking right?" Y/n said, giving her father a look that all teens give when they are in a mix of disgust and disapproval

"Nope! Your going to be cleaning the whole place! If you want to make your own sword, then clean up this place"
Y/n's father said as he watched his daughter look at where they make the swords.

But it's all dirty and if Y/n wants to learn how to make her own. She needs to clean up the place.

The Kurosawa family has been known to be the best blacksmiths in the village they resided in.

"Come on Pa. Don't be like this!" Y/n begged her father but he just shook his head. Saying that if she really wanted to be a blacksmith like him she has to know how to clean where she makes them and take care of it.

Y/n wanted to back down. But she's been wanted to make her own sword ever since she was a little girl. Yes she's made a few blades here and there, but never a full on Katana.

So Y/n sucked it up and cleaned every inch. She didn't stop until everything was in good shape.

Her mother stopped by, holding her 3 year old brother.
"Sweetie, it's almost sun down. Please come back for dinner" her mother pleaded
"Sister!" Little Yuuken shouted.

"Almost done. I just gotta scrub and sweep the floor and I'm all done!" Y/n said, pulling out the mop and scrubbers.

Her mother sighed, she knew that her daughter was as stubborn as her husband. So there was no point in arguing with her. But that's why she brought Yuuken with her.
"Alright, I guess it's time for us to leave Ken" her mother said to her son.

He didn't understand, but when his mother started to walk away from Y/n he started to tear up
"Sister! Sister!" He whined. Reaching out for his older sister.

Y/n stopped her cleaning and looked up to see her  little brother crying and trying to wiggle out of his mother's grip to get to Y/n.

Y/n's heart pinged at the sight.
'I can finish this tomorrow. It's just the floors that I have to finish'
Y/n thought to herself while glancing to the dirty floor.

She dropped her cleaning supplies and jogged to her mother and baby brother, her necklace making a jingling noise as she moved. Her little beother stopped his loud crying and kept reaching out for Y/n.

Y/n smiled fondly at her little brother and took him from her mother's arms
"I guess I can finish that up tomorrow. Let's get back to the house" Y/n said

She started walking back home with her mother to their house big enough for a family of 3 especially with a young toddler.

Next Day

"Ah~ finally finished!" Y/n said as she wiped the sweat from her forehead with her arm. She looked around, feeling satisfied and good with her work.

"I see you've done a good job." Her father spoke. Y/n looked to see her father at the door frame.
"Yup! All done and before afternoon too!" Y/n said with a wide smile. Her father chuckled and ruffled her hair
"Alright kiddo. Now, let's start on you making your first sword!" Her father said with a louder and hardy voice.

"Yeah!" Y/n said pumping her arms up in the air.

Y/n and her father were very close and sometimes they would act like siblings instead of father and daughter.

"Alright, not bad for your first sword."
Y/n's father, Katsuki, said with a proud grin. But Y/n was not very happy with it.
"How? It's horrible. The tip is too thin and the dull part of the Katana isn't even dull!" Y/n complained.

Katsuki frowns a little. He smacked Y/n aat the back of her head.
"Ow! What the-"

"Don't put yourself down! You must be proud of your creation! You don't see me complaining about you now do I?"
Katsuki scolded Y/n and insulting her at the same time

"Ok, one: no swordsman will be able to use this trash, not even the best of the best. Two: I don't know if you called me your first the worst creation or just wired looking" Y/n had a sour look on her face.

"Alright. Two: yes, in a way. But not really, one: if a swordsman was the best of the best, he would be able to work with your sword. Don't believe that saying "The sword picks you" No. That sounds like the sword controls the person. The one wielding the sword must be skilled enough to wield any sword. No matter the shape, size and even if it is made poorly." Even if her father said it a little out of order, Y/n understood.

Y/n looks up to her father. She wants to be like him.

2 days later

"Sister! Sister!" Yuuken was practicing his walking, and was walking back to
Y/n after reaching his mother.

"Come on Ken-ken! You can do it!" Y/n shouted.
"Sister!" He giggled. Yuuken knows a few words. But apparently his favorite word is 'sister'. And Y/n takes a lot of pride in that.

Meanwhile

Katsuki was looking at Y/n's sword she made. The new one. It was better then her first one but it was in a rather odd. It was a wavy shape and it was sharp too. He let out a deep chuckle
"My babies growing up so fast. And she can be an ass hole some times, just like her uncle."

Katsuki and Tengen haven't talked that much. Not as much as they used too.

"Dad! Yuuken just said I was his favorite in the world and mom kicked me out of the house! .  .  . " Y/n had came in to complaind. But she stopped when she saw that her father was holding one of the new swords she made.

Her father looked back at her and smiled
"This one, is interesting" he said.

Y/n smiled nervously and walked on in
"Y-yeah. I don't know what I was doing but it turned into this." She said with a hint of shyness in her  voice

"It's great! You did wonderful. And I love how odd looking it is and it can be used with no problem." Katsuki complimented.

Y/n smiled widely. She really loved the complements her father gave her. She was striving to become like him so getting complimented by the one she idolizes is very good for her.
